SOUTH KOREA OFFERS BATAAN NUCLEAR PLANT REHABILITATION TO PRES. MARCOS JR🇵🇭🇰🇷

President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. highlighted South Korea's offer for the rehabilitation of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant following the courtesy call from South Korea's top diplomat to the Philippines.

"Napag-usapan namin ng South Korean ambassador yung offer nila at yung nakapunta na dito na expert ng nuclear power para tingnan ang Bataan Nuclear Power Plant, para makita kung ano pa ang puwede pang gawin, kung puwede pang ituloy o kailangan na ba magtayo ng bago," he said.

President-elect Marcos Jr. noted that a power facility needs to have "at least 3 years of lead time" before it can be fully utilized.

In between playing Roblox I saw my 10 yr old kid watching an interview of CNN with BBM on his own will, and I'm proud of him.

I always encourage my kid to be critical and hear both sides before making a decision. And even if, he arrives at a decision, I tell him it should still be subject to change based on new evidence.

Not all "evidence" are created equal. Most evidence we have is testimonial evidence, this is information we get from other people that we accepted as fact, what they said, what you heard from the news, from your teacher, from a book or online, etc.

I also teach him on how difficult it is to study history because it depends on perspective. A testimony of a wealthy German vs a Jew in a concentration camp about WW2 will most likely be different.

I also teach him on how to be skeptical of each and every information he sees online. Validate and research on sources of the information. Authenticate and corroborate from multiple sources and always be open to changing his point of view.

My son knows, I voted for Leni Robredo and he knows my reasons why, but I never want him to believe things because I told him so.

He also believes that Leni is a better choice than BBM and I'm proud that in his young mind, on his own, he's trying to understand why majority of Filipinos voted for BBM.

To all parents, please teach your kid HOW to think and not WHAT to think. Facebook and Tiktok trolls and other propaganda machinery has very little chance to succeed if we have a critical thinking skeptical population.

It will take a lot of work but I'll do my best as a parent.
