WNDK Radio Spotlight goes to Dalton Swinney with Shoals Music Group. Congratulations Dalton Swinney.

Today Shoals Black Man Spotlight is Mr. Dalton Swinney. He was born in Florence Al, to Ms. Linda Swinney and Donald Thompson. He was reared in West Florence attending school in the Florence City School System graduating from coffee High School in 1991. While at coffee he was a great athlete playing basketball. He received a scholarship to North West Shoals community college and played basketball for 2 years. He received his AS degree in business administration. After college he opened a clothing store business that was located in the South Gate Mall.

Dalton had his eyes set on the entertainment industry and moved to Atlanta and began his career in the entertainment industry. During his time in the entertainment industry he had the opportunity to market artist and groups like Anthony Hamilton, The Temptations, Roger Troutman and Zapp, Jamie Fox, Will Downing, Ludicrous, and Godie Mob. After some years in the entertainment industry he decided to move back to his hometown of Florence and began working in the car industry being mentored by the late Bob Goldston. He worked for several dealerships.

Having the dream of becoming a real estate developer he would attend real estate school and receive his real estate license. He embarked upon his dream of launching his project of refurbishing old homes in West Florence and beautifying the area. He launched Operation Rebuild. The project allows citizens with low incomes to purchase a remodel home. The company assists citizens with credit& mortgage assistance. The goal is to revitalize West Florence and give citizens in West Florence an opportunity to have ownership in their community.

Mr. Swinney is a shinning light in his community and has a love for West Florence. He is doing great things in West Florence with his project Rebuild company. I was impressed to see the work he is doing. He has a goal of creating a youth center for displaced youth in West Florence. He credits God, wife, and business partners for his success. Please salute this Black businessman and Trailblazer.
