Updated from 2010, my Moon Ring Earrings pattern now includes substitution instructions for some super-sized earrings and an entirely new pendant design! The original smaller earrings measure about .75 inches wide and are beaded up using 11/0 seed beads, 3mm beads and 4mm beads. The new super-sized earrings measure about an inch wide, using 8/0 seed beads, 4mm beads and 6mm beads. The new matching pendant measures about 1.4 inches wide, using 11/0 and 8/0 seed beads, 4mm beads, 6mm beads and SuperDuo beads. 3mm, 4mm and 6mm beads can be bicone crystal, fire-polished or round beads, making this a very versatile pattern and great stash-buster. https://sova-enterprises.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=26621

This pattern uses a variation of the brick stitch where you add several size 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads at a time in increasing stacks, causing the beads to curve and “wiggle"! Although familiarity with the brick stitch would be helpful, this pattern is fully illustrated with detailed step-by-step instructions. When I designed this necklace, I had planned to embellish the bottom of the necklace with a fringe. But after I did the top embellishment, the necklace had such a lovely shape at the bottom that I decided it was perfect just the way it is. From there the name.
