NNHS clinches the sixth spot

NNHS Editor-in-chief, Rayma Culango clinched the 6th spot of the Editorial Writing - English category during the recently concluded Division Schools Press Conference (for Secondary) held last November 26-27, 2025 at Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Culango finally landed a spot on her third time at DSPC. It was a tough fight among all campus journalists from all secondary schools across the whole Division of Bohol. According to Culango, "Life is a struggle ma'am."

NNHS made it after so many tries. Together with Culango were other NNHS Light staffers, Regina Claire Polinar, Mariam Emmanuelle Caitom, and Cheska Claire Rigodon.

NNHS holds simultaneous BSP, GSP Camp

Nahawan National High School held the simultaneous BSP and GSP camp on November 8, 2025.

Girls and boys scouts gather at 8:00 in the morning for the opening program. Separate activities for BSP and GSP scouts were held right after the opening program.

The boys had their indoor activities and played games. The girls played games and made handcrafts.

BSP Coordinator Lorenz Laroga and GSP Coordinator Rikka Villa unanimously decided to stop the activities to safeguard the safety of the campers for the coming typhoon Uwan.

Though scouts missed the fun with cancelled activities, they all went home with a smile. They all believed that once a scout, always a scout.

Ibarra, team inspects NNHS following Friday earthquake

Clarin Municipal Mayor Eugeniano Ibarra together with the Engineering and the DRRM teams visited and conducted safety inspection of the NNHS school buildings on October 10, 2025 for safety after the Friday morning earthquake.

The Office of the Municipal Mayor directed the immediate suspension of classes after the said earthquake.

The urgent assessment aimed to identify any structural damage and to ensure the safety of students and staff before classes resume.

Strong quake strikes the south again

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit the southern part of the Philippines again on Friday, 7.12 pm October 10, 2025.

Residents are still recovering from the tremor earlier this morning.
