Here are some shots that we took over the past 2 weeks with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S25 FE.
The phone sports a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, pretty nice for viewing photos and videos. Our unit came with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (there's also a 512GB variant).
Battery-wise, the 4,900mAh pack keeps it going through the day and supports 45W fast charging.
The price starts at RM3,099 for the 8GB + 256GB here in Malaysia, making it a solid option for those wanting to transition from Samsung's mid-range smartphones to the flagship S series without the prohibitive cost.
We're pretty happy with how it handles night photography. Thanks to features like Quality Optimisation, the camera squeezes out the best possible image quality with full optimisation. Scene Optimiser also does a good job automatically adjusting colors and contrast to make dark scenes brighter and food shots more appetizing. It’s not the top-tier flagship camera quality, but for an entry-level flagship, it holds up well in low light with its 50MP main camera paired with a 12MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto lens. Selfies are also clearer with the 12MP front camera.
What is really useful for us is the generative AI in the camera app. It’s super handy when people or distractions appear in the background — the AI detects them and helps remove them easily without needing extra apps or complicated edits. That feature alone makes editing faster and cleaner, which saves a lot of time during post-processing. (We've included some before and after photos.)
So, while the camera itself is solid but not groundbreaking, the AI-powered editing tools like person/ object removal make a noticeable difference.
