Hi everyone!

Just to let you know we are going to take a little pause on the Salou series until January. We’ve both been under the weather this week and have quite a few gigs and events coming up over the next month.

We may have a few festive videos and shorts up over the next few weeks leading up to Christmas.

Thanks to everyone who has been watching the Salou and PortAventura videos so far we really appreciate it and it will continue early next year.

Apologies that there wasn’t a video yesterday, unfortunately I have been ill since we got back from the holiday and just didn’t finish the travel day in time! It will be up this Sunday though and we are excited to share this new series with you all! 🤩💙

Day 11 was our last full day. We did the hotel tour early on and rewarded ourselves with a very tasty English breakfast at The Grapevine. I never thought I’d be someone who did this on holiday but we really didn’t like getting breakfast in the hotel it was so chaotic. The staff were lovely and we felt set for the day after this!

We did a bit of packing (boo) after this and then went to relax by the pool. We had a few drinks, caught up on some socials, went in the pool and actually joined in with the afternoon games with the entertainment team. I even ended up winning one and got a certificate and free sangria which I was very happy about haha

We had lunch at the hotel buffet, food was ok this day, not the best but ok. We relaxed for a little while longer and then decided it was time to get ready for the evening. We decided we would chance our luck to see if we could get into The Roadhouse again without a reservation for our evening meal. We were successful and very grateful. Everything about this meal was brilliant really enjoyed the burgers and the Roadhouse Brewski IPA!

We had a walk out to the front and had a final Miami Beach cocktail from Caffe di Mare. This was a night of favourites for sure!

We then went back to the Roadhouse cocktail bar to see James perform again. He was fantastic as always and we got to catch up with him this time and had a great chat and even got a picture for the first time, few starbursts on the pic so need to see if I can edit it haha

We then made our way to the Temple Bar for some more live music, drinks and fun! It didn’t disappoint! We were having a fantastic night and we didn’t want it to end! Our flight was at 10:30am in the morning and this night ended up being one of our favourites.

As we started to make our way back to the hotel we decided to nip into Bar Zeppelin the rock bar in Salou! We needed to be up at half 7… I don’t want to share (and we don’t exactly know) what time we got back to the hotel! 😂 BUT we didn’t leave anything at the hotel and made our flight so we did well haha

That was the end of our holiday to Salou and the first room tour is now up on the channel if you want to see that. Going to be putting up a short of Hotel The Callaghan’s today and then the travel day will be up on Sunday, usual time 6:30pm!

On day 10 we very bravely (after the house of illusion night) made our way to PortAventura. We walked down from the hotel and it pained us to walk past Salauris (we won’t stray again! Haha).

We had some goals for this day as we had done a lot on our first 3 days and we succeeded with this! We started the day with a yardo and a Caruso from our fave El Posit while sat near the boats.

We then made our way over to Shambhala for one more ride! We got our fave row again 3rd from the back and it was as amazing as always!

One of the main reasons for booking this day to come back was to see the Halloween Factory show and this was excellent! Great music, dancing, singing, stunts and acrobatics! Really great show!

We then decided we would try the haunted attraction Hysteria in Boothill. This was using Meta Quest 3 glasses and we had headphones on too so it was fully immersive. It started with a séance scene where we were sat down and then we needed to make our way through the house and it really did scare us! Now we know what happens it wouldn’t be as bad but it was definitely a fear of the unknown with this! I’d recommend trying it at least once for the thrill.

It was then time for a meal at La Cantina, we always like sitting in here and this is the first time we sadly missed the show in here. We still enjoyed being there though and the food was pretty good for theme park food!

We had accomplished all we wanted so we decided it was a good time to leave the park. On our way out the lovely Karen and Ellie spotted us and we had a picture, it was great to see you both again 🥰💙

We then went back to the hotel, got ready for the evening and decided on a quick hotel buffet for our evening meal. It did the job! And then we were off for a walk into Salou! We decided to find the Roadhouse Cocktail Bar as we enjoy the Roadhouse restaurant so much.

When we arrived to our very pleasant surprise they had live music on. We stayed for the full set and realised very quickly it was James performing who we had seen many many times in 2021 and 2022! It was brilliant to see him performing again and we enjoyed the drinks and service and staff in here.

We were a bit gutted it was right near the end of our trip when we found this place cos it was such a highlight! We decided to have a nightcap in the Sport Legends Tavern which is part of the Salou Princess hotel and then called it a night. Another fantastic day 🤩💙
