Based in Carcassonne (South of France), WP’s story starts when 2 buddies, decorator Kristo and DJ Toto, started working in the psytrance festivals carrying their shop all around Europe. With the time passing by and their love for the psytrance scene growing, Toto and Kristo began to organize parties and after-parties at the festivals they worked at, becoming famous as a pirate sound system for the
unpredictable dynamics of their pop-up events. In 2006, after 5 years on the road, Kristo and Toto officially created World People with the main purpose of promoting electronic music and the various artists involved in the psychedelic movement. Toto is the co-founder of World People Association since 2006, and in 2009 he was the main founder of World People Prod Label. It didn’t take long for him to become a label manager from being a party organizer. World People aimed to get more people involved in the event-management part of their work, and things grew quickly as many guest artists at WP events ended up being part of the extended pirate family. Producing a yearly World People compilation, the project quickly became a proper record label called World People Productions, which Toto has kept increasing with his all year round promotional and creative efforts. Since then, World People Production released 17 VA, 8 albums and 21 EPs.
