The UT Martin Skyhawks women’s soccer team is off to a 1-0-3 start, marking their best unbeaten run since 2014.

Their season began with their game against UT Chattanooga with games following against Chicago State, Middle Tennessee State University and Illinois State.

The Skyhawks have one more game on the road against their long-time rival the Murray State Racers on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. before returning home to Martin.

The University of Tennessee at Martin welcomed the Class of 2030 to campus Aug. 20, 2026. The weekend featured events including Move-In Mania, the Welcome Home Picnic, Flight Frenzy and more.

The fall semester will continue to engage freshmen, beginning with the City and Campus Involvement Fair that will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24 at the Elam Center.

The UTM Pacer staff is getting their newsroom ready for fall!

The University of Tennessee trustees approved a proposal to increase undergraduate in-state tuition and mandatory fees at UT Martin by 3% at their annual meeting this afternoon.

In-state undergraduate tuition for the 2026-27 academic year will be $9,338, an increase of $272 from the previous year. UTM's tuition remains the second-lowest across UT's four campuses.

Blake Stoker, the owner of Blake’s At Southern Milling in Martin, Tennessee, will appear on season seven of the Food Network show “BBQ Brawl”, premiering on May 11, 2026.

For Stoker, the Martin community has always been the driver behind his work, leading to many accomplishments and recognitions across his time in the food industry.

The City of Martin is preparing for Stoker’s television debut by increasing tourism efforts in the upcoming months.

The Los Angeles Rams surprised draft experts by taking Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson with the 13th pick. Simpson, a native of Martin, Tennessee, was among 16 prospects who came to Pittsburgh even though many draft boards had him going in the second round.

Ella Self, a rising senior from Somerville, Tennessee, has been named the next Student Body President at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

A graphic design major with a marketing minor, Self is involved in campus organizations including Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Student Alumni Council, LSA, UT Martin Student Government Association and more.
