POV: You're my laptop as I work through the dumpster fire that is existing.

We're not going to talk about the number of scheduled AND last minute meetings that fill my calendar regularly. As a nonprofit that *already* faced some hefty challenges with modern society it's breaking my heart to CONTINUE to see s-x workers and trafficking survivors LEFT OUT:

💔 Of conversations around resources and support
💔 Of the rooms where decisions are made
💔 Of leadership positions in the world at large
💔 Of access to resources provided by other groups - including at the federal level

Times are hard across the board - every donation matters, to every organization and nonprofit - do the thing if you can.

Yes. I wear a mask at protests. For my health, for my protection, and for yours.

Vegas had a strong showing today and it felt good. I ran into several other folks while out but in general I don't take photos at protests (I'm old school like that).

Hey... You... This is your reminder to find some joy.

Some of my joy this week got delivered to my door at the top of my day yesterday. A beautiful bouquet of flowers from a very dear friend. I turned them into a larger arrangement (pictured here) and a smaller arrangement that is currently on my kitchen island.

The world outside is a dumpster fire right now - in the US and beyond.

It's okay to find joy.
It's necessary to find joy.

Growing up during the US AIDS epidemic in the 1980's... The notion of: " We buried our friends in the morning, we protested in the afternoon, and we danced all night." is in my makeup. It's how I was raised, in the communities of West Hollywood.

Be safe friends.
Be aware.
Find joy.
Fight hard.

This is an annual peer-to-peer fundraiser we do every fall over at to boost up our ability to serve even more people as we head into the seasons of generosity, community, and giving.
