The VizzTone label group is proud to announce the upcoming February 28 release of the newest album from Bob Corritore and Friends - DOIN’ THE SHOUT! This powerful album marks the career milestone of Bob Corritore’s thirtieth album release.

And RIGHT NOW is the January 15 release of the album’s first single, “I’ve Got Three Problems” featuring the legendary Bobby Rush! This original Bobby Rush composition is a collaboration between Corritore and one of his true blues heroes. Bobby is an acclaimed harmonica player, so it’s quite a statement that he turns the harp chores over to Bob Corritore and cheers him on with his great commentary! The all-star band features Dexter Allen and Jimi Primetime Smith on guitars, Chester Thompson (of Santana and Tower Of Power) on B3 organ and kickin’ the bass pedals, and Steve Ferrone (Average White Band, Eric Clapton, Freddie King, Michael Jackson, George Harrison, and more) on drums. When you combine all these elements, the outcome is a pinnacle performance by world-class musicians at the top of their game. Bobby’s edgy lyrics and powerhouse vocals, Bob Corritore’s sly harmonic licks and this groovy band deliver a true blues masterpiece!

The second single, “I Guess I’m A Fool,” a deep blues lament featuring famed blues, jazz and Gospel singer Francine Reed, drops February 7.

DOIN’ THE SHOUT! comprises twelve tracks, freshly recorded during 2023 and 2024. NEW ORLEANS LOUISIANA — The VizzTone label group is proud to announce the January 31 release of New Orleans based band Big Al and the Heavyweights new studio album, BLUES POWER. This is the band’s second VizzTone album, and their eighth overall.

The first single, “IF”, which is available now, is a minor blues ballad, sung by Anton in the classic bayou soul tradition, his powerful baritone delivering the heart-wrenching tale of lost love and reaching a natural falsetto that recalls some of the region’s masters. Intensity builds after a bridge and a stop as the band modulates into the final chorus, “If you’re gonna let me down, don’t make it easy.” Big Al shares, “IF is a heart-rending song of troubled romance and betrayal that happens when one lover is hurting the other playing games. It’s sung by Marcel Anton in the classic Louisiana tradition of the great Wayne Toups.”

This album showcases 10 original tracks and introduces two new band members, Dennis Cedeno on bass and Dangerous Dale Robertson on harmonica, while still featuring the soulful Marcel Anton on guitar and vocals and bandleader Big Al Lauro on drums.

Constantly on the road, the band will be hitting some of their favorite rooms in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Indiana and DC.
