Hello, thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we try to resolve our computer issues this past week.

Saskatoon Summer Players newest production is an adaptation of the Wedding Singer musical.

What makes this iteration and production unique is that the actors starring as the two leads are newlyweds in real life. Jory Fidler-Jukes and Riel-Fidler-Jukes married in September 2025.

The production stars Jory Fidler-Jukes, Riel Fidler-Jukes, Andrew L. Lindsay, Winslorbless Lumpas, Aron L’Oste-Brown, Amy-Leigh Thiessen, Rob Armstrong, and Carol Wylie in the main cast. There is an additional ensemble as well.

The musical’s book is written by Chad Beguelin and Tim Herlihy and lyrics by Matthew Sklar. Herlihy was the film’s original writer.

Braden Moore is the director, Tommy Vaquer as music director, Kylen Rioux as vocal director, Meghan Crosby as choreographer.

Apologies for the numerous errors in the original publication of our review for Live Five and Two Bees Productions production of Yaga.

Changes have been made to properly credit Judith Schulz as producer instead of stating Schulz as co-founder. As well as properly credited Peace Akintade as intimacy director not coordinator.

Again please accept our apologies for the glaring errors these past three weeks.

Never hesitate to reach out if you notice errors, misinformation in the future of not only this review but any article, review or interview in the future.

Thank you,

This is our full video review of Persephone Theatre 's The Woman in Black

Directed by Josh Beaudry and starring Matt Burgess and Jonathan Pickrell.

Persephone’s The Woman in Black is a quintessential campfire ghost story where the production’s technical aspects make this an immersive, enveloping theatrical experience that not only is unforgettable but hopefully will not be forgotten as surely its marvelous aspects linger.

Persephone Theatre's The Woman in Blackruns from October 22-November 2 2025 at Persephone Theatre’s Main Stage in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Apologies for the delay. This a review from the October 17th 2025 performance. There were technical difficulties on our end.

Burnt Thicket Theatre's My Little Plastic Jesus returns for another tour this fall.

This iteration starts in Saskatoon on October 17th and runs until November 7th 2025 across Saskatchewan, ending its run back in Saskatoon.

My Little Plastic Jesus is created by and stars Tim Bratton. Burnt Thicket Theatre Co-Founder Stephen Waldchmidt acts as both director and stage manager.

My Little Plastic Jesus is a powerful, heartfelt one man show where Bratton gives a vulnerable, conflicted performance that’s magnetic, humorous as it is gut wrenching at times.

This production is an illuminating performance that’s much needed in today’s world and political and religious climate. My Plastic Jesus expertly balances one man’s experience and how untangling religion intermixed with nostalgia weighs heavily on Bratton.

Persephone Theatre's second production of their fifty first season is The Woman in Black.

The Woman in Black was originally a novel by Susan Hill before being adapted into a stage play by Stephen Mallatrat.

This production is directed by Joshua Beaudry and stars Matthew Burgess and Jonathan Pickrell.

This production is a stunning work of theatre allowing the technical aspects of the production such as lighting and sound to truly shine and be additional characters in the play. This is akin to a campfire ghost story, where a storyteller envelops the audience until the grasp is so tight they are completely immersed in the tale, allowing their imagination to take over.

The Woman in Black is a quintessential campfire ghost story where the production’s technical aspects make this an immersive, enveloping theatrical experience that not is unforgettable but will not be forgotten as its marvelous aspects linger.

Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre launched its latest season with CoyWolf in cooperation and partnership with Thumbs Up Good Work Theatre

CoyWolf is directed by Sydney Wolf .power and is written by and stars Colin Wolf alongside CJ Gordon, Isabelle Katoogoo James-Walker and Jesse Fulcher Gagnon.

This is the second iteration of CoyWolf that was originally produced in fall 2023 debuting September 20th at the Guild Theatre in Whitehorse. The production then toured throughout the Yukon that fall.

CoyWolf is a beautifully realized, thought provoking piece of theatre that is anchored by wonderful worldbuilding, powerful nuanced performances and direction amalgamating into hopeful thriller that allows the audience to reflect on a fiction narrative juxtaposed the real historical events and accuracies of our world.

CoyWolf is an unforgettable theatrical experience that showcases a fantastic sense of worldbuilding, powerful, engaging performances with direction, costume, set, sound and lighting design that makes this production must see theatre.
