Sending our best wishes to music journalist and writer Mick Wall.

Mick has been a prominent voice in the Quo community for many years, and we're sad to read of the current situation.

Iʼm raising money to help Mick Wall. Support this JustGiving Crowdfunding Page.

I'm currently looking for tribute bands to feature on The Quo-Cast. I realise that the usual barrier to entry, about 30 minutes, might be a bit intimidating to some. The use of Zoom and cameras may also be putting people off.

That is why I'm offering the chance for Status Quo tribute bands to come on the podcast for 5-15 minutes via phone, either WhatsApp or the traditional phone line, depending on your availability. This gives you a chance to promote your band, the kind of setlist you play and WHERE you're playing. Let me assist you with promotion, and hopefully get more people at gigs.

It's approximately the length of a local radio interview, but with a dedicated audience that's there to hear what you have to say. If you're interested, email [email protected] or DM me.

I'm looking for tribute bands to interview on future episodes of The Quo-Cast. Each interview lasts between 15 and 45 minutes depending on your availability, and can be conducted via Zoom , Messenger, WhatsApp or telephone. No video required.

If you have gigs coming up in the summer, I can help you promote via our audiences on audio and YouTube. We've just reached 150,000 plays over all platforms, and counting.

Comment, DM or email [email protected] for more details!

NEW EPISODE: In this episode of The Quo-Cast: A Status Quo Fan Podcast, Jamie Dyer discusses a unique era of an artist that influenced Status Quo.

In 1966, Chuck Berry signed for Mercury Records. The musician recorded five albums on the label, before returning to Chess in 1970. During this period, the albums were a varied mix of experiments that built onto the established Berry formula. The addition of a horn section, an untypical live album and an 18 minute long song are just some of the music innovations tested.

Four of the albums are featured in a new 2 CD set from BGO Records, which is also discussed.

This is the first in a series of episodes discussing an artist who helped influence Status Quo! Alan Lancaster and Andy Bown have both cited Berry, plus the ...

It's been 14 years since I got to interview the late great Alan Lancaster. It was around 3 in the morning, and the first interview I ever conducted under my own steam. A week or so before his passing, I revisited the interview for The Quo-Cast.
