Embrace autumn cosiness with this oversized, all-over textured jumper, which was designed in celebration of the Celtic goddess of the harvest, Lugh. Enjoy the mindfulness of knitting this warm, soft and drapey drop-shoulder sweater as the evenings close in. Lugh has very minimal shaping, allowing the knitter to focus on the texture and details, combining the entertaining techniques of cables and intarsia. Finishing touches include open hems and cuffs and cosy shawl collar. This is knitted in Di Gilpin’s Lalland DK, a 100% lambswool spun in Scotland.

A Midlands-based start-up business has created a transparent storage cube perfect for knitters and crafters of all kinds – and Knitting readers can get 10% off their first purchase.

Scubl storage cubes can sit on their own, for example on top of wardrobes, or in shelving of various sizes, including Ikea’s popular Kallax units. They are in two separate zipped compartments, but feature four transparent sides so it’s easy to see what is where.

They also have two opaque sides, available in plain or patterned fabric, so you can hide away your craft supplies if you wish. A handy label pocket on the opaque side lets you know what is in the box.

🎁 To get 10% off your purchase quote code Knitting10 at checkout. Offer ends October 15. Order at scubl.co.uk

Knitwear designer Natalie Smart has made a lifelong dream come true by taking on a small flock of mainly Romney sheep which live in the countryside just north of her home in Hove. Each sheep is named, loved and has its undyed fleece spun in limited quantities at a nearby mill. Small Flock Yarn DK is made up of 100% British wool, and 100g contains 228m of yarn, not 22m as published in Knitting issue 263.
