Arterion Philippines Enters Merger Talks with Kūhaku Media

Manila, Philippines – Arterion Philippines, a non-profit organization committed to uplifting Filipino creativity and building inclusive platforms for arts and culture, has officially entered into merger discussions with Kūhaku Media, a media organization focused on cosplay, visual arts, and pop culture.

This merger marks a bold step in unifying two passionate organizations within the Philippine creative industry. Arterion brings its deep commitment to uplifting creativity of the Filipino, while Kuhaku Media contributes its extensive media reach, event coverage, and expertise within the cosplay and visual arts spaces.

Both organizations are aligned in their commitment to safe, all-inclusive, and enjoyable experiences for cosplayers and con-goers. The collaboration is expected to roll out new joint events, and wider efforts to elevate the presence of cosplay in the local creative community.

ICYMI: Caleb's Pipsqueaks celebrated his birthday with plushies in hand and his love on their minds at the OMango Six Cafe & Dessert in Pasay City, June 15, Sunday.

The event organized by Blooming Encore Events held sing along sessions together with games, raflles, andbooth selling of select art merchants that celebrated the Love and Deepspace pilot through a Cup Sleeve Event

In an interview with Arisu Aonyx, the organizer for Blooming Encore Events, that they have been excited to host a Cup Sleeve Event for Caleb after he got released on December of last year. Arisu also cited that organizing this event was a streesful endevour but seeing the reactions of people from volunteers, and fellow artists where they themselves pitched in for the event and make it successful.

They also cited that the decision to host an event a days after his birthday on June 13 was to prevent the saturation of Caleb related events in the country.

LOOK: Art connoisseurs and drag artists participated on Sticker Con MNL: QUEERLAYAAN on June 14, Saturday. The Pride Celebration and Art Market gathered over 200 q***r artists, creatives, makers, and performers at the Bayanihan Center, Pasig City. From 10AM to 8PM.

The stage came alive with standout performances that kept the energy high, and the crowd engaged as Drag Queens Salmo Nella and Sexy Wanda delivered bold, crowd-pumping performances, followed by Drag Den Season 1 contestant O-A, who energized the audience with “Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappell Roan.

Drag Race Philippines Season 2 first runner-up Arizona Brandy performed a powerful set featuring hits from Charli XCX’s BRAT album including “Apple” and “Guess” before empasizing that “Pride Month isn’t a celebration, it’s a protest for human rights.”

More than a market or showcase, QUEERLAYAAN stood as a platform for q***r expression, activism, and unity. All proceeds from the event support Ayala Foundation’s feeding program and typhoon response efforts.

Organized by Sticker Con MNL and ARTEGOph, and powered by Globe Telecom, QUEERLAYAAN Year 2 was louder, bolder, and prouder—where q***r voices came together to celebrate, resist, and uplift one another.

𝗞𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗞𝗨 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘: From slow dances to charitable reasons, cosplayers experienced a unique event where they can exhibit their characters on The Union: More than Just Cosplay's first cosplay gala event on June 1, Sunday at Casa Real, Taguig city.

The Union's first cosplay gala featured a community and an intimate space for everyone, where they get to do what they're limited on doing at convention halls. The charity ball also set the events proceeds to charity organization, Scholars Of Sustenance in their organizer's continued mission on uplifting people through the cosplay hobby.

Ngayong Ika-9 ng Hunyo, ginugunita natin ang kalayaan ng ating bansa, at bilang pagkilala sa mga tao na lumaban at patuloy na lumalaban para sa ating inang bayan.

Tulad ng kalayaan ng mga taong gawing ang gusto nilang gawin, at suotin ang kanilang gustong suotin ay patuloy nating ipaglaban at ipagpatuloy ang laban sa kalayaan at demokrasya. Para sayo, saatin, at para sa bayan.

Look: Attendees of the first day of Nexus Academia 2025, participated in actvities, music, and gaming, on June 10, Tuesday at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Organized by Tier One Entertainment, the event aimed to provide a vibrant space for students, cosplayers, and gamers during the academic summer break.

Attendees were able to enjoy retro and tabletop games, test gaming peripherals, and join tournaments across various booths.

Ghibli fans also joined in the fun through themed merchandise, food stalls, and lantern painting, thanks to a collaboration with Street Kohi who's also organizers of previous Ghibli Fest Manila events.

Showmatches for Honor of Kings and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), along with live performances by Cleon, ICYD, Jerome Banaay, and The Ridleys, headlined the festival’s first day.

The event continues on June 11 with community panels featuring Meishu cosplayers, more showmatches, and performances by Lampara, Mejja, A-18, and Sud.

LOOK: Hobby enthusiasts gathered at the Nook Cafe in Anonas, Quezon City on Saturday, June 7, for the final day of Arterion PH’s two-day summer pop-up event.

The event welcomed tabletop and board game players, cosplayers, and artists who showcased their merchandise. The event highlighted Tekken and Uno tournaments, along with a special open mic session held on the second day.

In an interview, Aji Imperio, Marketing Assistant at Nook Cafe and Assistant Director for Creatives at Arterion PH, they shared that the event served as a trial run to explore the Arterion’s capability in hosting pop culture and hobby-centered gatherings. Imperio added that, "Arterion would use this to learn on future events that it would handle."
