Extremely excited to introduce SHE WHO REMAINS, the ‘bold and visionary’ debut novel from .renekarabash, beautifully translated from the Bulgarian by 💛💛

Publishing 10th February 2026, but as always sent early to our beloved subscribers 💌

High in the Accursed Mountains, in a village ruled by the ancient laws of the Kanun, Bekja escapes an arranged marriage by becoming a sworn virgin, renouncing her womanhood to live as a man. Her decision sets off a brutal chain of events, destroying her family and separating her from the one she loves the most. Years later, as Bekija – now Matija – tells their story to a visiting journalist, long-buried truths come to light, along with the realisation of all that might have been.

‘She Who Remains reads like a dark fairy tale from a time when life was lived closer to the bone … Bold and visionary, Rene Karabash’s novel unfurls a world of blood feuds and sworn virgins – women accepted into society as men – in a dreamlike narration that burns up the page with feverish urgency. Izidora Angel’s translation from Bulgarian thrillingly captures the novel’s dense tapestry of hypnotic language.’

Extremely excited to introduce IMAGINE BREAKING EVERYTHING, the debut novel from the very brilliant Lina Munar Guevara, beautifully translated from Spanish by Ellen Jones.

Publishing on 10th November but, as always, delivered early to our beloved subscribers 💌

It’s a rainy weekend in Bogotá, and eighteen-year-old Melissa is about to graduate from school. If, that is, she can scrape together the money to pay for the printer she broke. Melissa used to break a lot of things, but after five years of living with her aunt Anahí, she has become much better at controlling her anger. Then, out of the blue and for the first time in six months, Melissa’s mother calls her and invites her to spend the weekend together in their old neighbourhood. Melissa is excited to spend time with her, but nervous about returning to the scene of her troubled early adolescence. Will she make it to Monday morning without jeopardising her future – or being swallowed up by her past?

‘What makes IMAGINE BREAKING EVERYTHING an unforgettable read is the combination of who Melissa is as a character and her voice. Not only is she the rare female protagonist who externalizes her rage, literally punching first so she won’t become the punching bag, but as a first-person narrator she is brutally honest, funny, self-aware, and able to create moments of utter heartbreak and insight while staying true to the rawness of Bogotá slang.’

Extremely excited to announce SEA NOW by the extraordinary Eva Meijer, translated from Dutch by Anne Melo Thompson 🌊💙

Publishing on 21st October and as always available earlier to our beloved subscribers 💌

The country is flooding. Every day the sea claims another kilometre of land. The prime minister holds a daily press conference. Scientists try to find an explanation, without success. Sheep drown in the fields, weighed down by their waterlogged fleeces. The museums are emptied of their valuable works. Some people stay. Most leave. Once the evacuation is complete, and the rest of the world is already moving on, a climate activist, a young poet and an oceanographer voyage across the new sea. They are drawn back into the heart of a changed nation, seeking what they have lost in the deluge.

Eva Meijer is a philosopher, visual artist, writer and singer-songwriter. Her fiction and non-fiction has been translated into over twenty languages.

NEW SARA MESA INCOMING!! 💓

Extremely excited indeed to announce FOUR BY FOUR by the brilliant Sara Mesa ✨
Translated from the Spanish by Katie Whittemore ✨

At Wybrany College, there are two kinds of student: the children of the rich and powerful, and the ‘Specials’ – recipients of a mysterious scholarship. Sealed off from the decaying world outside, the school promises safety, order and, for the Specials, the chance of a different life. But when one of them disappears, the illusion begins to crack. Hidden hierarchies shift. The line between protector and predator blurs.

The story unfolds in two parts: first through the lives of students navigating a system built on silence and control; then through the diary of a substitute teacher who uncovers disturbing truths, while hiding a secret of his own.

Publishing on 12th August, and going as always pre-publication to our beloved subscribers in early July 💌

‘Sara Mesa’s writing is mysterious and fascinating: her characters brush against the limits in environments of fierce false calm.’
– Mariana Enríquez

‘When I read Sara Mesa, I’m there in the Wild West, sifting through the sand. There is a restless enjoyment, an inhospitable beauty, in my sieve. And then something miraculous when gold appears before my eyes.’
– Eva Baltasar
