Assalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu.
Today, as we commemorate Araw ng Kagitingan, or the Day of Valor, we honor the courage and sacrifices of those who stood for our nation’s freedom. In the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), we also take this moment to recognize a different kind of valor—one shown every day in our classrooms, madaris, and learning centers across the region.
I speak of the perseverance, dedication, and compassion of our teachers and educators—the modern-day heroes of the Bangsamoro.
Your work may not always make headlines, but it shapes our region's and people's future. You show bravery not on the battlefield but standing before young minds—planting the seeds of knowledge, critical thinking, and peace. You endure challenges from limited resources, complex environments, or personal sacrifice, yet you continue teaching, inspiring, and uplifting.
On this Day of Valor, we at the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) express our deepest gratitude to all our educators in the BARMM. You are the quiet champions nurturing the next generation of Bangsamoro leaders, innovators, and professionals.
May we never forget that true valor is not only found in resistance and defiance but also in service and compassion. It is through your daily acts of commitment that we continue to build a peaceful, educated, and empowered Bangsamoro.
Maraming salamat po at mabuhay kayong lahat.
