One Piece fans, here’s something you might’ve missed! Admiral Kizaru wasn’t just a unique creation—he was inspired by legendary Japanese actor Kunie Tanaka. Known for his chill demeanor and distinct speech in 1970s dramas like Seibu Keisatsu, Tanaka’s laid-back persona became the foundation for Kizaru’s entire vibe.
Eiichiro Oda himself credited Tanaka as the real-world model for the Admiral’s voice, stance, and even attitude. A cool nod to Japanese cinema woven into the world of anime.

My Hero Academia’s creator, Kohei Horikoshi, recently confirmed that the story’s original ending was meant to be very different.
In early drafts, Deku was supposed to end the series as a quirkless teacher, delivering a simple message: “You can be a hero!” But Horikoshi later decided to shift the tone — choosing to show Deku in a high-tech suit, still active as a hero, reflecting the wider story’s evolution beyond just Deku himself.
