⚠️ Ticonderoga NY missing child/homicide⚠️ SO many updates with this 1!
✴️UPDATED 7️⃣/2️⃣2️⃣ Luciano plead not guilty in court.
🔺7️⃣/1️⃣9️⃣
Melina & her father were on a planned vacation in NY from Canada.
They also visited Connecticut.
Melina resided with her mother, full time, in Canada.
Luciano is a Canadian citizen and an Ethiopian citizen.
🔹630pm:
Melina called her mother to let her know she was on her way back to Canada with her father.
Following some back-and-forth messages and calls between Frattolin & his ex wife he went silent when she asked when her daughter would be home.
🔹9:58pm:
Melina's father, Luciano Frattolin, a 45-year-old Canadian resident, called Warren County 911 to report his daughter missing, claiming a possible abduction.
🔹First he claimed he pulled over at 940pm to urinate, walked away from the vehicle & when he returned she was not there.
🔹Then he claimed she was last seen in a white van traveling southbound on Interstate 87 near Exit 22 in Lake George, New York.
🔹Later he said 2 males took her and he saw them put her in a van.

🔹1:29am:
New York State Police issued an Amber Alert for Melina, stating she was believed to be in "imminent danger of serious bodily harm and/or death."
The alert described her as a 5-foot-tall, 100-pound girl with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a black-and-white striped shirt, light-colored shorts, and white Adidas sneakers.
🔹No suspect or vehicle registration details were identified at the time.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office & New York State Police, Essex County Sheriff’s Office, Ticonderoga Police Department, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, State Forest Rangers, and State Police K9 and Aviation units, conducted a large-scale search for Melina.
🔹As the investigation progressed, law enforcement identified inconsistencies in Luciano Frattolin’s account of events and the timeline he provided.
🔹4:18pm-4:30pm:
The Amber Alert was canceled by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Melina’s body was found in a shallow pond, under a log in Ticonderoga, New York, approximately 30–45 miles from where she was last reported seen in Lake George.
🔹Authorities concluded there was "no indication that an abduction occurred" and stated there was no threat to the public.
New York State Police announced that the investigation had been turned over to them from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office due to jurisdictional considerations.
🔺7️⃣/2️⃣1️⃣ 2am
🔹Luciano Frattolin was charged with Melina's death & was moved to the Essex County Jail just after 2am today.
🔹Jail records list his status as "in custody" and booking date as July 21.
🔹He's charged with second degree murder & hiding a co**se.
🔹Authorities are planning a press conference on Monday to provide further updates on the investigation.
🔹 The investigation found that Melina was killed between 7:40pm and 9:12pm on Saturday July 19th.
🔹The felony complaint filed against Frattolin on Monday at a courthouse in Ticonderoga, N.Y., alleges he concealed her body by “positioning her under a log in a waterway.”
🔹New York State Police are still building a picture of Frattolin’s movements over the weekend with his daughter.
🔹The website of the coffee company Frattolin owns was taken down.

🔹Luciano & Melina's mother had been having custody issues.
Melina's mother said Luciano has never been involved in any dv incidents & she trusted him with her daughter.
🔹Frattolin, who has no criminal record, is currently involved in 5 separate lawsuits, all filed this year, 4 of which he is the plaintiff, according to court records.
🔹In 1 case, he is being sued for $83,000 by Bank of Nova Scotia.
🔹Frattolin is also more than $200,000 in debt stemming from business dealings in Montreal.
🔹He was renting a property in Montreal since 2020, which he sublet as an Airbnb, called Gîte Bernard in the Mile End neighborhood but sold the property 6 months ago.
🔹He hired 2 property managers to run the place-- including having them make the rent payments he owed.

🔹He is in a legal dispute with a business partner with whom he owned the property. That partner told authorities that Frattolin was trying to flee the country to evade the lawsuits. Frattolin says that's not true.
🔹He is suing the managers for more than $115,000, claiming they exploited the property without his knowledge and never made the rent payments as promised. (according to Le Devoir)
