Strike the Box! Although the show is a freeform format of just about anything released (and maybe not officially released) in the last 60 years, it has a heavy rotation of 60s and 80s music. Mostly music that you don't always hear on bigger, commercial radio stations. The show is heard Thursday from Noon to 2PM on t

he East coast. You can phone in requests and if they can be found they'll be played. Archives of the show can be found in the links section below. Play lists may be found in the discussion board. You can listen on the radio if you are close to the Medford/Somerville area on 91.5 FM. Or online at: http://www.wmfo.org

THE YEAR IN REVIEW:
So as I look back to the numbers for 2025, I kept a spreadsheet of each artists and song played. I've played over 965 different artists and over 3000 songs. There were a couple of lost show where I couldn't get the playlist information.
Each year I've played more and more new artists knowing that they need to be heard. I am grateful to all the labels and artists who send me their music. There are so many people to thank that I'd better be safe and just say a mighty thanks to you all. Strike the Box! started out in June 2001 as a show to play records like we would growing up. I never thought it would become what it is now. Hopefully 2026 will be even bigger. Thank you to all of you who support the show and this page. I'm hoping that there'll be more new listeners in 2026, but I need your help to spread the word. Rock ON!
