𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲, 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐲

Sa panahon kung saan patuloy na nilulugmok ang katotohanan sa kumunoy ng hindi matibag-tibag na balangkas ng kadiliman, may mga taong handang tumulong na mahupa ang bangungot na ito, at handang gisingin ang natutulog na kamalayan ng masang Pilipino.

Sila ang mga kabataang mamamahayag — ang isa sa mga modernong bayaning hindi man nakasuot ng kapa, subalit handang makipagtunggali gamit lamang ang papel at pluma. Kung kaya naman ngayong araw, ating ginugunita ang isang mahalagang araw para sa kanila: ang ikaanim na anibersaryo ng National Campus Press Freedom Day — isang pag-alala sa karapatang matagal nang ipinaglalaban ng kabataang mamamahayag. Sa bisa ng Batas Republika 11440, tuwing ika-25 ng Hulyo ay kinikilala at sinusulong ang malayang pamamahayag sa loob ng mga kampus sa buong bansa.

Ilang beses man silang dinaluhong ng alimpuyo sa kanilang pagsasagwan tungo sa malayang pamamahayag, nananatili silang buo at higit na pinaiigting ang kanilang serbisyong tapat at totoo. Sukbit ang papel at pluma na higit binigyang kapangyarihan ng Batas Republika 7079 o ang Campus Journalism Act of 1991, sila’y makapagpupunla ng butil ng pag-asa na mamumukadkad sa puso’t damdamin ng sangkatauhan. Hawak nila ang nagniningning na plumang makapagbibigay-liwanag sa mundong nilagom ng dilim.

Sa bawat araw na lilipas, mas maraming tinta ang maipamamalas. Ang kanilang papel man ay umalpas, ang tapang at dedikasyon nilang ipaglaban ang katotohanan para sa masa ay kailanma’y hindi kukupas. Tangan ang pinagyamang pluma, patuloy silang magniningas tungo sa isang mabulaklak na landas.

“𝓘 𝓾𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓯𝓮𝓮𝓵.”--

𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is acknowledging and accepting a person's inner experience, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as valid. Validating an emotion doesn't mean that you agree with the other person or that you think their emotional response is warranted. Rather, you demonstrate that you understand what they are feeling without trying to talk them out of shame for it.

This October, we are celebrating 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 with 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚢𝚎𝚊𝚛’𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖𝚎, “𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤". It is acknowledged to raise awareness on mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health. 𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚘𝚍𝚊𝚢, 𝚊𝚜 𝚠𝚎 𝚌𝚎𝚕𝚎𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲, the World Health Organization highlighted the vital connection and importance between mental health and work, as they believe that safe and healthy working environments can act as a protective factor for mental health.

Amidst this long weekend, the celebration of 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬' 𝐃𝐚𝐲 is just around the corner on this 26th day of August, in accordance with Proclamation No. 368, which declares Monday a regular national holiday. This day paves the way for the remembrance of the heroes who arose for our freedom and independence through their blood and writings.

This celebration also holds a crucial identity for each Filipino, as the saying “𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙨” goes. This acknowledges the heroes in different sectors that contribute to the welfare of each member of society, such as healthcare staff, firefighters, policemen and women, and leaders.

𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲, 𝐈𝐧𝐜.

16th August, 2024, was a day filled with warmth and joy at Bulacan Standard Academy, graciously hosted by Mr. Christopher C. Guilalas, LPT. The event began with an inspiring speech from our school principal, Mr. Ricardo P. Castillo Jr., MAEd, setting the stage for a spectacular celebration of unity and talent at Bulacan Standard Academy, Inc.

The performances that followed were nothing short of mesmerizing. The BSA Chorale's rendition of "Fairest Lord Jesus" touched the hearts of all attendees, filling the air with pride and a deep sense of belonging. The lively beats of the BSA Drum and Lyre Band, guided by Mrs. Mary Grace Zulueta and Ms. Alleah Camille Agbayani, and the vibrant dance performance of "Pantropiko" by Bini, showcased the students' passion for music and artistry, lighting up the stage.

Additionally, the various student clubs featured during the event added an extra layer of charm and community spirit. The Book Lovers Club, Boys and Girls Scouts, and Isang Lahi Performing Arts (ILPA) group all brought their unique energy and creativity to the celebration. These clubs are more than just activities; they embody the essence of BSAI, providing a nurturing space for students to explore their talents, foster friendships, and grow into well-rounded individuals. Their presence is a cornerstone of the BSAI journey, enriching the lives of BSAIeans and leaving a lasting impact on our school community.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | From the echoes in the hallways to the main stage rhythms, BSAIeans showcased their harmonious, resonant pieces that foster a new life through the new tones of written lullabies. So make a way, because BSAI Chorale is on its way!

The BSAI Chorale captivated the audience with a heartwarming folk song medley at Bulacan Standard Academy, Inc. Club Launching on August 16, 2024. Transporting listeners back to childhood, the choir performed beloved classics like "Bahay Kubo," "Paruparong Bukid," and the iconic "Leron Leron Sinta." The choir is guided by their commendable moderators Sir Jhonrey Germo and Sir Kim Sanchez.

The choir's performance was met with warm applause and heartfelt praise from both faculty and fellow students.

The BSAI Chorale welcomes students with a passion and talent for singing. Join them as they keep the melody and make each celebration much brighter with your heavenly voices that unite BSAIeans.
