WINTERRUPTION YEG ADD 30 MORE ACTS FOR 2026 FESTIVAL
Hiss Golden Messenger, Kyle Kinane, Stomach Book, Neon Steve and more added for Jan 21-25
(Edmonton) -The Winterruption YEG festival adds 30 more artists for its 6th annual festival this January 21-25, 2026, across multiple downtown Edmonton venues. Joining headliners FEAR, Talib Kweli,Thumpasaurus are North Carolina roots artist Hiss Golden Messenger, hyperpop sensation Stomach Book, electronic events with Neon Steve and Sydney Blu, Treaty 7 rockers Miesha & The Spanks and Montreal post-rock duo Ribbon Skirt. In addition to music acts, Winterruption’s comedy line-up has been announced at the historic Freemason’s Hall on 103st on the Kathleen McGee Comedy Stage featuring Addison, IL’s favourite son Kyle Kinane and Toronto’s hilarious political satirists from The Beaverton - Live.
Additional notable acts include legendary Edmonton punks L.A.M.S., Calgary’s Cat P**s, King Thief, Lachlan Neville, Non Ultras and many more emerging artists for Canada’s great indie scene, including northern representation from Gnarwal (NWT) and Cryptozoologists (Yukon). Winterruption is also pleased to partner with Change the Beat and Vibe Collective for a night of female DJs headlined by Sydney Blu, including a free workshop on Jan 24 from 7-9pm.
The festival is hosted across 13 iconic stages including The Starlite Room, Freemason’s Hall, Rocky Mountain Icehouse, McDougall United Church, Temple, The Cask & Barrel, 9910, Double Dragon, Downtown Edmonton Community League, River City Revival House, EVO, CKUA Radio, and The Dive Bar.
