On this day 45 years ago, Iron Pig entered the studio to record their second demo which catches the attention of influential metal deejays Neal Kay at the Soho Soundhouse and Nick London at the Winning Post in Twickenham. A track from their first demo is also chosen by groundbreaking metal journalist Geoff Barton as one of his tracks of the week in Sounds music paper.

March 20th 1980
Iron Pig enter Jacob's Studios in Farnham, Surrey to record their third and final demo.
Now regarded as one of the great "lost" bands of the NWOBHM era, members would go on to play wih White Lightning, Mournblade and Seducer.

March 20th 1991
White Lightning play London`s Marquee Club.
With their new album "Paradise...At A Price" in the can, White Lightning begin a run of gigs to promote the album. The record company goes into liquidation and the master tapes dissappear. Then, 25 years later, the financial backer for the label in implicated in one of the biggest scandals in U.S. history.
The album is eventually released in 2010 taken from a cassette copy.
