Another District Level Most Wanted Person, Nabbed by QCPD Operatives

QUEZON CITY, October 24, 2023----The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) under the leadership of PBGEN Redrico A Maranan reported the arrest of another District Level Most Wanted Person in a manhunt operation conducted by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) today in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

PMAJ Don Don Llapitan, Chief, CIDU identified the accused as Lina Abaroa, 39 years old, tagged as No. 7 District Level Most Wanted Person, and a resident of Brgy. Bitungol, Norzagaray, Bulacan. She was arrested at 6:00 PM of October 23, 2023, in front of Caimino Elementary School, Brgy. Bitungol, Norzagaray, Bulacan.

Abaroa has a pending Warrant of Arrest for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 issued by Hon. Manuel Basco Sta Cruz Jr., the Presiding Judge of Branch 226, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Quezon City.

The court of origin of the Warrant will be notified regarding the arrest of the accused.

“Hindi mag-aatubili ang inyong kapulisan sa QCPD na puntahan saan mang lugar ang mga nagkasala sa batas upang pagbayaran nila ang krimeng kanilang ginawa”, PBGEN Maranan said as he commended the efforts and dedication of CIDU operatives under PMAJ Don Don Llapitan particularly in tracking down Wanted Persons.

QCPD Arrests Motorcycle Rider in COMELEC Checkpoint; Yields Php120K Worth of Ma*****na

QUEZON CITY, October 17, 2023----The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Redrico A Maranan, announced the arrest of a motorcycle rider and confiscation of Php120,000.00 worth of ma*****na in a COMELEC Checkpoint conducted by the Anonas Police Station (PS 9).

PLTCOL Ferdinand Casiano, Station Commander of PS 9 identified the suspect as Denzel Ethan Kyte Baller Mejia, 26 years old and a resident of Brgy. San Roque, Quezon City.

Based on the report, at 4:05 AM of October 17, 2023, PS 9 personnel were conducting COMELEC checkpoint in front of LRT Katipunan Station, located along Aurora Blvd., Brgy. Loyola Heights, Quezon City, when they flagged down the suspect on board his Yamaha Fazzio motorcycle without wearing a helmet.
At that instance, said police officers asked the suspect’s license and OR/CR of his motorcycle, however, when Mejia took his wallet from a paper bag, one of the police officer saw a bundle of dried ma*****na with fruiting tops wrapped in a black plastic that led to the arrest of the suspect.

Confiscated from the suspects’ possessions were one (1) kilogram of ma*****na valued at Php120,000.00 and one (1) unit of Yamaha Fazzio motorcycle with MV plate number 1301-2001647.

Mejia will be charged for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

PBGEN Maranan commended the PS 9 operatives under PLTCOL Ferdinand Casiano for the successful arrest of the suspect and confiscation of the said evidence. “Patuloy ang ating mahigpit na kampanya laban sa illegal na droga upang tuluyang tuldukan ang mapanirang epekto nito sa ating komunidad” he added.
