It was not untill the Spring of 2008 when a large radio crew was formed in Thessaloniki giving birth to Paranoise Radio. Every single member of Paranoise is characterized by unquenchable thirst and passion for music! More or less we all support the view that music should make everyone feel like human rather than product. Using Internet, the most significant means of communication, gave us the oppo

rtunity to create an independent, alternative radio, whose aim is to promote contemporary urban music culture through communicating with our listeners. Paranoise Radio is made up of around 50 people at the moment, mainly broadcasting from Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as from other European cities such as London, Xanthi, Manchester, Berlin, Madrid, Copenhagen, Larissa, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Drama, Brussels, Aalborg, Birmingham and Brighton. The combination of all these various personalities has given us the chance to widen the range of music that we choose to play, without however causing the radio to lose its identity. In other words, all the different genres of music that are broadcasted on Paranoise Radio are so carefully combined that the radio will always maintain its own distinctive sound!

Our guest mix section is back this Saturday 11/10 with mix #329 by .
Athens-based English artist and experimental folk singer and composer. Demi Spriggs has been released on Team Love, and on Submersion Records with her band the 'friends'. Her work is inspired by the melancholy of UK, Irish and American folk, as well as the echo-ish sounds of electronic music.

Her mix, entitled "on grace - freak-folktronica/downer mix", traverses energies between different outsider folk iterations: freak, acid, baroque, folktronica, and fusion, giving a nod to noise and free jazz.

Demi Spriggs mix for Paranoise is airing tonight at 9:00pm.

María Mot is an Argentinian composer weaving together the seemingly opposite worlds of experimental music and pop. Her latest release, "Haikus 俳句", is a five-track digital album that explores the resonances and microtonal nuances of sound.

For her guest mix at Paranoise Radio, titled Errática Romántica, María curates a selection of experimental electronic and electroacoustic works from Latin American artists—spanning México, Argentina, Perú, Guatemala, Bolivia and beyond. The mix unfolds intimacy through a wide emotional spectrum, moving from tenderness to the raw edges of love. It invites listeners to experience love in its most delicate, uncertain form.
