Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa (1909-1985) was the founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, a prominent Pentecostal church in Nigeria and Benin. He reportedly established the church in 1947 after a period of being lost in the forest, during which he experienced what he interpreted as divine guidance and healing powers. Oshoffa's first act of healing was reportedly the resurrection of his nephew, leading to his sister's conversion, who became the first convert to the new church.

Early Life and Background:

Oshoffa was born on October 11, 1909, and died on September 10, 1985.

His father was a former Muslim who later became a Methodist, while his mother followed traditional religions.

He had a childhood as a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.

He is also known as Bilewu.

Founding the Celestial Church of Christ:

Oshoffa's experience in the forest led him to believe that God had given him a divine commission to found the church.

He is said to have been instructed by an angel of God to start the church and share his belief in the need for evangelism.

The church now has a significant presence in both Bénin and Nigeria.

Key Aspects of his Ministry:

Oshoffa was known for his healing ministry, particularly his reported ability to resurrect people from the dead.

He also had a strong emphasis on prophecy and faith.

His first act of healing was reportedly the resurrection of his nephew, who later became a prophet in the church.

Legacy:

Oshoffa's teachings and ministry continue to influence the Celestial Church of Christ, which has a large following in both Benin and Nigeria.

His first son, Emmanuel Oshoffa, is the pastor of the major faction of Celestial Church of Christ, worldwide.

Libya was the world's poorest country in 1951. Gaddafi made it Africa's most developed country with $150 billion foreign reserves & zero debt.

When they kill£d him in 2011 in a town, Sirte, he pleaded, saying, "What have I done to you?" This country was a desert, I made it arable.

Sirte was later taken by ISIS terrorists which have been exposed and confirmed by US Congress to be funded by USAID during Obama and Biden administration.

The claims USAID, under the Obama-Biden administration, funded ISIS, which later took over Sirte; this aligns with a 2023 accusation by U.S. Congressman Scott Perry, though evidence is contested.

The harsh reality is that Comrade Ibrahim Traoré is a dead man walking. We must live with that reality. Once France and the U.S. have set their sights on him, it is just a matter of time.

They don’t like him fundamentally because they are unable to get access to his country’s resources while he is in charge. That is the exact reason Sudan is in flames. Who do you think funds the Rapid Support Forces? This is the same reason Congo is in flames. Who funds the rebels? They say Rwanda—but whose interest is Rwanda fronting?

It is a complete lie to suggest that Ibrahim Traoré is being targeted because there is human rights abuse in Burkina Faso. There is no country in the world with a worse human rights record (past and present) than the U.S. The U.S. cannot lecture any country on human rights.

Unfortunately, they have succeeded in sowing seeds of discord among Traoré’s men. It won’t be long until one of them (literally) stabs him in the back. Blaise Compaoré killed Thomas Sankara. They were friends from school days into military training. Sankara’s family welcomed Blaise into their home, fed him, and supported him. When Sankara became head of state, Blaise was his right-hand man. But he forgot their friendship and connived with Félix Houphouët-Boigny, the then Ivorian president, to get rid of Sankara. It is the same script that is playing out now—a perfect puppet in Alassane Ouattara is facilitating the compromise of Traoré’s men to take him down, and I personally believe they will succeed soon.

Just as they succeeded in taking down Muammar Gaddafi—and we did nothing—they will take down Traoré, and we won’t be able to do anything. Already, some politicians from Nigeria and Kenya (two countries very friendly to imperialism) have started referring to him as a mere hype who has offered nothing to his people. Much as there is some hype and misinformation about Traoré—and in fact, it is not all milk and honey in Burkina—there is also evidence to show that Traoré is working for his people and is taking control of the ownership and exploration of mineral resources from European and American interests.

Some of the accusations against him are that he has banned the critical press, he’s not conducting free elections, there is no opposition—bla bla bla. Israel has banned critical press, killed journalists in the line of duty, killed volunteers in their line of work, etc. Why is the U.S. not having a problem with that? Paul Kagame and Faure Gnassingbé have banned and oppressed opposition, do not conduct any credible elections, and have banned free media. Why is nobody having a problem with them? There are many military leaders who got to power through coup d’états in Africa. Why is Ibrahim Traoré the only one that is wanted? These are critical questions we should ask ourselves.

In a recent video widely circulated online, the current U.S. Vice President was heard clearly stating that they are at war with China because the goal of globalization was to ensure that smaller countries supply cheap labour and raw materials to the bigger countries to drive their development. But China decided to not only supply cheap labour and raw materials—they copied, perfected the act of production, and became competitive. That’s why they are currently targeting China with false propaganda and tariffs.

In Ghana, Nkrumah was brought down because he was accused of being a dictator who abused human rights and all that. Those who came after him did worse. In Congo, Lumumba was killed—some of his body parts dissolved in acid—because he would rather take control of his resources and put his people first than allow Belgium to continue to exploit them. Italy dropped bombs on Ethiopia because they couldn’t stand seeing an African country prosper. Thomas Sankara and Gaddafi died for the same reason. Laurent Gbagbo was harassed out of power because he was beginning to cut his country from France’s umbilical cord. The history goes on and on and on—and in all that, they are able to find conspirators within the countries to help execute their plans. Unfortunately, Traoré won’t be different.

Wole Soyinka is seen being escorted by a Nigerian policeman following his arrest in 1967. During the Nigerian Civil War, Soyinka was accused of secretly communicating with Biafran leaders, leading to suspicions of espionage.

The military government, under General Yakubu Gowon, detained him without trial, and he was held in solitary confinement at Kaduna Prison for nearly Two years until 1969. Despite the harsh conditions, Soyinka remained defiant, later chronicling his prison experience in his book "The Man Died: Prison Notes of Wole Soyinka".

OGUNLOLA OLABANJO OGUNDIRAN - THE FOUNDER OF OGBOMOSO

Nestled between Ilorin and Oyo Town in southwestern Nigeria, the town of Ogbomoso boasts a rich and heroic history. It was founded in the mid-17th century by Ogunlola OLABANJO Ogundiran, a fearless hunter of Ibariba descent.

Around 1650, in the 17tth century, Ogunlola migrated to the area—then a dense, wild forest—pursuing his hunting career. Accompanied by his wife, Esuu, he camped under an ajagbon tree, a historic tree still standing today as the site of the Soun’s palace. In time, they built a hut near the tree and made the jungle their permanent home.

Not long after settling, Ogunlola noticed smoke rising daily from nearby areas. He investigated and discovered four other hunters who had also made the forest their home. The first was a Nupe elephant hunter who camped at what is now called Oke-Elerin ("Elephant Hill"). The second was a prince from Otta, who fled his hometown over a disputed royal title and settled in what is today Ijeru. The third, camped at Isapa, and the fourth settled in Akande, an area that has since disappeared.

Ogunlola, with his unmatched hunting prowess and the support of his wife Esuu—renowned for making popular to***co s***f and guinea corn wine—soon established dominance among the hunters. Together, they formed a society called Alongo, which focused on mutual protection against slave raiders, cooperative hunting, and communal support. As more people joined the settlement, it grew from a simple camp into a thriving village. Ogunlola’s hut became the community’s administrative center, where disputes were resolved and decisions made, naturally elevating him to the position of the leader of the thriving village.

According to historical accounts, Ogunlola was later imprisoned in Oyo-Ile, the capital of the old Oyo Empire, for an alleged crime. While in prison, he learned of a fierce warrior named Elemoso who was terrorizing the city. Ogunlola pleaded with the Alaafin—the king of Oyo—to release him so he could confront Elemoso. After persistent appeals, the Alaafin agreed.

Elemoso was known for his strength and deadly skills with sword and arrow. Ogunlola carefully studied his movements and, after days of stealth, ambushed him one night. Ogunlola shot Elemoso with an arrow, beheaded him, and triumphantly presented the head to the Alaafin. Overjoyed, the king did not only granted Ogunlola his freedom but also urged him to remain in Oyo-Ile. However, Ogunlola respectfully declined, replying, "È jé kí á má ṣe òhún"—meaning, "Let me tend to my own land yonder." From this statement, the title Soun—the traditional ruler of Ogbomoso—was derived.

Upon his return, Ogunlola was made the paramount leader and became the first Soun of Ogbomoso. The settlement came to be known as the settlement of the man that brought the severed head of Elemoso, "Eyi ti ogbori Elemoso"—"the place of he who brought the head of Elemoso." Over time, this was shortened to Ogbori Elemoso, and eventually to Ogbomoso, the name it bears today—a lasting tribute to Ogunlola’s bravery.

From its humble beginnings as a jungle camp, Ogbomoso grew into a formidable town, playing a significant role in the broader history of Yorubaland.
