Making friends, good friends....is also an adventure. Life indeed is an adventure. Sometimes you're up - like you're climbing a hill. Sometimes you're down, just like when you descend the natural valleys. And sometimes you're just there - as you'd be on the plains of nature. Through it all, just remember that life is a journey. Only you can keep you down. Just like a hike, the first step, followed by many other steps will take you to the top. Take that first step because only YOU can keep YOU down.

You are likely to see one of these in most Nigerian homes. They come in different sizes. The mortar and pestle. Traditionally it's used for grinding ingredients and herbs for cooking and/or medicinal purposes. What I disnt know though is that when you buy a new set, you have to 'cure' it with palm oil. The palm oil is smeared all over the mortar, both inside and outside. Same is done with the pestle. Then left outside in the sun for at least 24 hours. It must not be beaten by rain. This treatment helps to prevent the taste of the wood from sipping into food and also prevents cracks. Like I said, this apparatus is used for crushing/grinding ingredients in the kitchen. Foreigners also use it as a decorative piece and it's indeed very pretty if you don't always associate it with pepper and crayfish. And it's also a good tool for smashing the head of that gender that likes to use their hands on the weaker s3x. But, don't say I told you.🚶🚶🚶
