It’s cute our 11 year old is in charge of the elf for our youngest. But this idea caused all sorts of issues when I needed her shoes for school this morning. 🙈

Tell kids it’s bedtime ➡️ kids try multiple delay tactics ➡️ eventually get them upstairs after a half eaten snack and multiple requests ➡️ Brushing teeth is another mild annoyance ➡️ nice story & cuddle ➡️ little chat ➡️ chat waffling a bit long now ➡️ a suggestion she needs to stop talking ➡️ the chatting becomes relentless with all kinds of made up crap ➡️ raise voice to stop talking ➡️She finally pipes down ➡️ lie there for another 20 mins ➡️ goes to sleep ➡️ Wander downstairs with not many wills to live and watch sh*te for an hour ➡️ Go bed.

Banned the TV this morning and to my amazement, an 11 year old still likes playing Barbie’s with her 6 year old sister. Eye opening.
