We did it Business Owners!

It's amazing what we do - the world is *hard* and we are cracking on with our purpose, our calling, our business and trying to make a difference.

Well done to all my business owner mates and mums (ESPECIALLY if you had Easter holidays this month!) 💪

If there is ever a theme I return to - its sleep …. 😴😴

I am so grateful to be out the completely sleep deprived years - but still with a 5 and 3 year old we have weeks where a full night just doesn’t happen - and it reminds me how KEY sleep is for functioning on top form! (Or at all…)

We then had one sick day which lead to juggle of work and childcare.🙈

I am forever grateful that this is possible for me - and it definitely gets easier to do that juggle when they are older and poorly (aka not attached to you!)

But I feel I am often the bearer of bad news when I have this reminder doing work AND childcare is just not a long term solution.😞

Its about focusing one thing at a time and finding what works for you and your business. (As well as what you can afford or financially need of course)

For me its always been childcare, working within those (and evenings where possible!) then being SUPER strict on my Mummy day Wednesdays to do emergencies only (and that is rare)👈

I put this question when in a room with a bunch of people professionals (who were largely also parents, or discussing how to support them in the workplace) and the reaction was HUGE in agreement!

What are your thoughts on this? ⤵️

From my mum WhatsApp chats…I know enough to know that Christmas is getting a lot for the littles….🎄🎁🤦‍♀️

For us, this week was the last week of school activities and while that means school holidays- it means less to remember!! 🙈
This week has looked like:
👉2 x Household Birthdays
👉2 x Work Christmas Lunches
👉1 x Nursery Christmas Party
👉1 x School Christmas show
👉5 x days reduced working due to lack of clubs (and 5 x evenings filled with work)
👉1 x Hospital visit to do more healing from NICU and support some mummies this Christmas
👉1 x Reformer Pilates
And a fair few days trying to remember what on Earth what day was what uniform, what school trip, what Christmas costume and which day when we need what…yes I was confused…

Then…
🥂1 x Anniversary Dinner to celebrate how lucky this week happened
