When Robb Pollard stood at the Playa del Rey breakwater before sunrise this spring, with the Pacific Ocean behind him and 2,500 miles of road ahead, he wasn’t thinking about publicity or raising money.

He was thinking about survival.

The Playa del Rey resident had just taken the first step of what would become a 56-day journey across America, ending at Jacksonville Beach, Florida, where he reached the Atlantic Ocean on Father’s Day, reuniting with his wife and two young children.

For Robb, the walk, called "Walk With Me, Brother," was about confronting the silence surrounding male su***de and mental health.

Ballet Beyond Borders returns to Westchester next month for a 3-day event full of dance, cultural exchange and artistry! 💃

August 6 | Community Cultural Celebration-
The festival kicks off with a vibrant outdoor celebration from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Book Jewel in the Westchester Triangle. This free, family-friendly event will feature a global cultural marketplace with stunning displays and a chance to create a mural.

August 7 | BBB Diplomacy Conference-
Learn about the intersection of arts and global relations with the Ballet Beyond Borders Diplomacy Conference from 6 to 8 p.m. at LMU’s Featherston Hall (120 Auditorium in the Life Science Building).

August 8 | Ballet Beyond Borders Gala-
The weekend culminates at 6 p.m. with the can’t-miss BBB Gala at LMU’s Drollinger Stage. The gala will feature breathtaking performances by international guest artists and emerging global choreographers.
