Today marks the culmination of an epic journey. After 200+ shows across 100+ cities - TRIPS, a new psychedelic stand-up comedy special starring Shane Mauss, is now available to the world.
As the project’s Visual Director and live VJ, my mission was to bridge the gap between Shane’s storytelling and the visual intensity of the psychedelic experience. As Shane verbally navigated the inner workings of the human mind, I illustrated the voyage with a kaleidoscope of mindscapes, translating the psychedelic experience into a living, breathing reality.
We’re breaking more than just new ground with this release; we’re carving out two historic milestones: The first comedy special enhanced with live VJ visualizations, and the first comedy special ever recorded at the psychedelic wonderland of Meow Wolf!
Live Premiere & Watch Party Tonight: The special is entirely free to watch (no prescription necessary). We are hosting a live watch party for the "First Dose" tonight at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST on YouTube via 800 Pound Gorilla Media. Shane and I will both be in the live chat to help guide the trip and highlight the specific artists as their work appears.
