Metropolis IL/Paducah KY construction project that started March 3rd now is officially a 10-6 width restriction on I-24 as concrete barriers placed earlier this weekend. This construction affects I-24 between Metropolis IL and Paducah KY. No oversized (or commercial vehicles) will be allowed to cross the Ohio River Bridge on I-24 until October 14th, 2025. As a reminder, work zone lane restrictions will be in effect until October 14. The bridge has a 10-foot, 6-inch width restriction, and there is a reduced speed limit of 55 mph in the work zone.
