Polyphasic Recordings Founded in 2010, Polyphasic Recordings is devoted to releasing, archiving and distributing visionary sonic exploration.

Our catalogue documents what we feel are unique and fascinating examples of radical sound from musical pioneers across the global spectrum of modern culture. With a special focus on electronic and experimental music we are particularly interested in where these boundaries overlap and intersect with environment, dance, pop and psychedelia. We are firm believers in Michael Karoli’s definition of psy

chedelic music as music that transports the listener to another mental space and as such we aim to promote this kind of travel in everything we do, creating inimitable experiences based around audio, visual and even aromatic stimulation. Having a strong interest in the history and development of electronic music Polyphasic Recordings is also committed to archival projects and re-releases that document this development. These projects have a special focus on Canada, which we feel has an incredibly rich history that has been criminally under-documented. Currently Polyphasic Recordings is based in a converted machine parts garage in Toronto, Canada and in a very old rural schoolhouse outside of Sheffield, UK. Both locations have studios devoted to the research and development of electronic and experimental music.
