Christians, Halloween is not harmless.

“Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
—Ephesians 5:11 (KJV)

Witchcraft, fear, death, and spirits are not entertainment.
We follow Christ, not culture.

Choose light. ✝️

Delays are not denials. God’s timing is always love in action. ⏳❤️

Not every easy path is the right one. Sometimes God’s way feels harder—but it always leads to true life and lasting peace. 🌿✝️

The message of the world is clear: “Love yourself first.” Yet the Word of God firmly warns us against such thinking. Scripture says: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves…” (2 Timothy 3:1–2, KJV). Loving ourselves above all else is not a virtue—it is a sign of the last days, a mark of selfishness and pride that pulls us away from God.

Jesus does not call us to exalt ourselves, but to surrender. He said: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23, KJV). To deny ourselves is to put Christ above our desires, our pride, and our will. It is the very opposite of the world’s call to self-love.

When asked about the greatest commandment, Jesus did not say, “Love yourself.” Instead He declared: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Matthew 22:37–39, KJV). Our love must first be directed to God, and then to others—not to self.

True joy, worth, and peace are not found in turning inward to self, but in turning upward to Christ. Denying ourselves allows His love to rule in us and flow through us.

Self-love puts ‘me’ first. Jesus calls us to put Him first.

Don’t Follow Your Heart

The world says, “Follow your heart,” but God’s Word warns us: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9, KJV).

Our hearts are often led by emotions and desires that drift away from God’s will. Instead of trusting our own feelings, we are called to trust in the Lord. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6, KJV).

True safety, joy, and peace are found not in following our hearts, but in following Christ.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, teach me not to lean on my own heart, but to trust fully in Thy Word. Guide my steps, guard my thoughts, and help me walk in Thy truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

There was a time I thought I was falling behind.
While others chased dreams, climbed heights, and soared,
I stayed.

I stayed because someone had to.
Someone had to be the steady hand,
the quiet strength,
the one who holds things together while others fly.

I used to wonder if staying meant settling.
But now I know—
staying is not weakness.
It’s love.
It’s sacrifice.
It’s strength in a form the world often overlooks.

I may not have taken the spotlight,
but I became the light someone else needed to find their way.

And that, to me,
is a purpose just as grand.

Not all love asks to be noticed. Some just stays -- quiet, constant, unconditional.

When the heart is full and faint, He sees.

Sometimes, the heart carries more than it should. The noise of tasks, the weight of people’s expectations, the ache of not being okay – it presses in and makes you feel small, unseen, and tired of trying.

But God sees.

And He is not far.

In the stillness between breaths, He invites you:
“Come unto me... I will give you rest.”

Even when the storm rages inside, even when no one understands – He does.

So when you don’t know how to pray, when you want to scream or cry or shut down – whisper His name.
That alone is enough.

Let your tears be your prayer.
Let your sighs rise like incense.
Let your silence be holy ground.

He’s listening.

And He will not let you fall
