Hello,
Sending a gentle reminder that automatic takedowns of your published Level content start on Monday, November 18, 2024. That said, you’re welcome and encouraged to get started with migrating your catalog to a new distributor now to ensure you have enough time to get everything done.
Here are a few short steps to help you get started:
STEP 1 - DOWNLOAD YOUR LEVEL CATALOG
In order to help ensure that your play counts and playlist placements remain intact when you move your music to another distributor, it’s important that you use the exact information associated with the releases you distributed through Level.
We’ve created a Catalog Export Tool that allows you to download all the audio, artwork, and metadata associated with your published releases. For step-by-step instructions on how to use the tool, check out this article.
STEP 2 - CHOOSE YOUR DISTRIBUTOR
Here’s an article that can help you sort through options.
STEP 3 - TAKE DOWN YOUR LIVE RELEASES
Once you’ve determined the next steps for choosing a new distributor you should start taking down your releases from Level. We suggest waiting until the new versions are live and the streams have synced prior to initiating the takedowns on Level. This process takes approximately 72 hours after your release has been successfully submitted and scheduled at your new distributor.
For more information on how to manually take down a release, check out this article.
As always, if you have any questions you can contact us at [email protected]
THANKS,
THE LEVEL TEAM
