Last night, dodgeball took center stage in Dallas—and it was all for a good cause. After a six-year break, Vogel Alcove brought back its high-energy fundraiser, Dodge for a Cause. The corporate dodgeball tournament drew 32 teams to SMU’s Moody Coliseum, where competition was fierce and the crowd was electric.

In the end, it was Sewell Automotive Companies —playing under the name The Dodgefather’s VII—who claimed victory. Houlihan Lokey’s team, Dip and Dodgers, took home second place.

But the real win? More than $132,000 dollars was raised to support Vogel’s mission—helping young children and families in Dallas overcome homelessness and poverty.

Dallas may have one of the strongest economies in the nation, but nearly 4,800 children in North Texas go to bed each night without a home. Vogel is working ...

The family mourns the loss of its dear friend and ardent champion Morton H. Meyerson. Our thoughts are with his family during this time.

The etching in the stone above the entrance to the hall is a small monument to the impact and influence of this incredible man who gave of his time and resources to support and transform the organization. The DSO is eternally grateful for all he has done for the organization and what he has put in place for a bright future.
