The country pavilion of Pakistan turned into a showcase
of culture and everything green on the country’s 78th
Independence Day. There were special performances

2025) has unlocked more than £1.9 billion in public
funds by improving planning, budgeting, and revenue
mobilization across Pakistan’s provinces.
On August 14, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif made his third visit to the under-construction Technology Park in Islamabad. Expressing concern over the slow pace of work, he reprimanded the relevant authorities and directed them to ensure world-class facilities and expedite completion.
The IT Park will feature: 2 underground, ground, 9 upper floors, offices, incubation center, business support center, R&D labs, a Level III data center, auditorium and parking for 1,200 vehicles.
Once completed, the project aims to create jobs for youth, boost economic growth, enhance global IT competitiveness, and bridge the digital divide.
Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecom Shaza Fatima and senior government officials concerned were also accompanying the Prime Minister.

media reports.
Mushaal Malik, wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, has called India’s Independence Day a “black day” for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In her statement, she highlighted the complete shutdown in the region with deserted streets, closed institutions, and severe restrictions on movement, internet, and communication. She said that despite such measures, India cannot extinguish the candle of freedom, and the day is not far when Kashmiris will breathe in free air.
