കേരളം കടക്കെണിയിലോ ? Is Kerala state in Debt trap? | Reports On Kerala

Is Kerala in a debt trap? Is Kerala on the verge of collapse? Let's examine it with the right figures.
The financial security of a state is not measured by the amount of debt, but by its percentage compared to the domestic product. This ratio, which was 39.9% during the Covid period, has come down to 34.2% in 2024-25. According to the figures, it will come down again to 33.8% in 2025-26. This means that the state's economy is growing faster than the debt is increasing. Along with this, the state's capacity to do things without borrowing is increasing. Tax revenue, which was Rs. 47,660 crores in 2020-21, has reached Rs. 84,884 crores by 2024-25. The fact that there has been an increase of about 78% in revenue in four years is a big step forward. According to the figures, the state of Kerala is not in an economic crisis or debt trap. Such propaganda is purely politically motivated.
