The weather was actually pretty decent considering most duck hunting can be super cold and Rainey.

After many “failed” attempts to get Liam a rabbit as his first animal to kill to start his hunting journey we finally got it done!
Connor shot at and missed a freak buck that had 4 on his left and small nub on his right. This buck has been seen for 3 years like this, so he needed to be shot. Unfortunately Connor had a little bit of buck fever, that combined with low light conditions made for a tough shot.
During the investigation for any signs of blood from the buck Connor missed. Liam yelled out A BUNNY! We grabbed the .22LR that was my first gun purchased by my father when I was 12 years old. I helped Liam get steady and then the rabbit ran……we ran after it got in position again “40 yards” and I asked him do you have the rabbit in the scope and he said YEP……BOOM RABBIT STEW HERE WE COME!
