It's time to get ready for another year of conscious crafts!

Junk To Funk School Holiday Workshop for kids - Facebook

Get ready to transform trash into treasure these school holidays with Junk to Funk Holiday Workshops 2025!

Hosted at Artworks Theatre by Hana Kumagai & Bea Lorimer (Heke upcycled eco- fashion ) + Hazel & Hollie, this creative holiday series of hands-on workshops invites tamariki of all ages to dive into the world of sustainable fashion.
With a strong kaupapa of turning waste into wearable art, kids will be guided through inspiration, design, and creation workshops over the coming months – all leading up to the main Junk to Funk showcase. It's where imagination meets eco-consciousness, and every scrap has style potential.

Let their imagination & technical skills grow wild with the first of our Junk To Funk Workshops!

CATEGORIES for Junk to Funk this year are:
Paper-razzi - paper/cardboard
Tik-Toxity - e-waste/plastics
Repair-nation - Fabrics/Cloth
Te Taiao - Natural Fibres
Prepare to be dazzled Waiheke ⭐✨

Come create, upcycle, and strut your stuff! JULY 8th, 9th and 10th from 10am - 2pm!
Cost: $120 / 3days or $50 per day
Suitable for ages 8 & upwards. Younger children are welcome accompanied by an adult.
Please inquire if need assistance with fees or for booking 2 or more children!
