When Jason was teaching sound mixing on the Wing Rack, one of the students asked to be taught in his mother tongue and when that happened, oh he was soaking it all in: in Luganda. The beauty of using your mother tongue (or a language you’re most comfortable with) is that it breaks down barriers, makes concepts click faster, and builds confidence to try, to fail, and to master.
No shade on other languages; English, Swahili, French all have their place but nothing beats the power of learning in the language you think, dream, and express yourself in.
At the end of the day, what matters is not just what you learn, but how deeply it stays with you. 💡Growth is Key mu bintu bino.
