I am so grateful for the peace that I feel. You don’t realize how precious it is until it’s gone—the silent noise of distraction creeps in like a stealthy killer.
Thank you, Jesus, that You are my Prince of Peace! There is nothing in this world worth exchanging this peace for.
This song playing in the background is perfect timing—funny, I didn’t even realize it was Brandon Lake’s House of Miracles. (I’ve been listening to a lot of Brandon Lake lately.)
I encourage you to take a moment to quiet your heart and welcome God to have His way. He is doing some amazing heart surgery on His children—healing hearts, melting away pain, breaking through the barriers of self-protection, and giving us strength to lower the masks. God is revealing Himself in the redeemed, restored, and reconciled lovers who are willing to authentically connect with His Spirit.
These past two months of not drinking have allowed God to melt the hard crust that kept me numb. As the Holy Spirit finally gained access through that shell to my heart, it began to soften. The tender heart that God gave me at birth began to emerge again. It was as though a whisper in the distance slowly built into the steady heartbeat of a Father calling me higher and higher into His heart.
I’ve been a Christian basically my whole life, but something feels different now. I know who I am—and Whose I am (as my mother, Eva Hoopes, would say).
God is pouring out His Spirit across the globe. All it takes is calling on His name: Jesus, will You remember me today in Heaven? I’m willing to lay down the masks of self-protection, the pride of life. I surrender. I give up. It’s You or nothing. Without You, I have nothing—no life, no family, no purpose. It is only You, and You alone, who can keep my soul safe in the chaos of this world.
Not only do You leave the 99 to go after the one—you never stop sending Your family to check on that one. You never give up. You never fail. You never stop loving us back to life—even the ones who tried to run away.
The powers of this world that try to destroy God’s precious children have no answer for His love. His love never fails.
You don’t need to do anything but let go of your self-protection. Lay down the masks. Look up and meet the Heavenly Father’s gaze—He never took His eyes off you. He has the answers to all your problems, and He will walk with you on the path of restoration as you climb higher and deeper into the fullness of His love. He loves you, the real you not the put together version. God cant heal your Mask, so come as you are!
The time is now.
Can you hear the whisper?
He is calling.
Aslan is on the move.
