I interviewed Safiya Songhai about her new film: Intercept. The film showcases the adversities Jayne Kennedy, the first African American sportscaster faced to get the job.

Songhai was mentored by Spike Lee and did her first movie with Chadwick Boseman when they were both students at Howard University.
