Hosted by the Flight Simulation Association at the Rhode Island Convention Center, FlightSimExpo 2025 is just around the corner! If you've been on the fence about attending, now is a great time to register! You can register via the link in the video description.

Keep your eyes peeled on Friday, June 27 as the team will be featuring in the FSE opening video! Take a look at this teaser video to see some of the footage that Kirby filmed for our feature in the video! We have lots of footage from this flight we completed multiple flypasts of various locations in several unique formations.

We hope everyone that attends Fs Expo has a wonderful time. It is the largest real world event that showcases the very best of flight simulation and what it has to offer, sadly our team will not be attending in person but our friends over at Aero Vector will be at the Thrustmaster booth all weekend long so please pop your head in and say hello to the team.

We would like to welcome our former RED 7 Flipper to his new media role we are happy to showcase some of his latest work!
Flipper is a real talent at creating videos and we are very happy to announce that he is now our full time media creator.

Alongside this Warg is now back flying an active role within the team as RED7. Warg is a very skilled formation pilot and has flown with the team now for a number of years. We are happy to say he is back flying in an active position with us after his graduation.

A special shout out is to be made also to Kirby and the guys at Aerovector Jet Team. Kirby initially recorded the footage seen is this video as part of a project we worked on together a few weeks back more to come on this in the coming weeks!

Hello all,

Our work continues on the 2012 Display Routine, you'll be able to spot some of the formations in the photos below.

A stand-out formation is Phoenix in this year's display. It is named the 'Memorial Bend' to commemorate Flt Lt Jon Egging and Flt Lt Sean Cunningham who both sadly passed in 2011.

In recent weeks, we have transited to Cyprus - akin to the team in 2012. It's a welcome change from the Caucasus map and allows us to become familar with different display sites both inland and coastal.

We hit a big milestone last week, the first complete display run with seven jets! A poignant sign of recent progress.

Today, we are introducing a new series of videos that we will be posting. FSRA Friday is our commitment to post weekly action packed videos full of clips taken throughout the weeks training. In this first edition, we get to see a range of formations with some action from Synchro. We want to showcase as much as we possibly can to engage with all our followers.

Alongside this, we will have other videos coming out in the week explaining behind the scenes details. We have already posted a quick video on how we obtain some of our flying references and have plenty more ideas up our sleeves.

The team have been hard at work over the last week putting in the time needed to get us show ready for the summer season.

We are also very happy to announce that in the near future we will be live-streaming our practice sessions to show our audience a true in depth look into how we train and the amount of time and dedication that goes into flying in a team like this!

ENID
Enid are working mainly with the first 4 moves of the display with great progress made from this time last week. They are also working on some of the technical moves seen in the second part of the display. This week it has been the vertical break, a tricky move to get exact but we are very happy with the core learning of this move as the timing is spot on!

SYNCHRO
Synchro are currently still running through the entirety of their second half show routine. They are at a very comfortable stage in their flying so now they can join the core of the formation to help provide a stable platform for Enid to practice with this is essential for moves such as Shuttle and Concorde where Enid will be reliant on 6 & 7 to fly the shapes needed!

The team have been working hard over the last 2 weeks with some of the core formations needed for our display. We have broken down the display into segments to perfect each part as we progress.
During this time the pilots are learning the role they have to play in each challenging maneuver from smoke colour to timings and what communications are needed via radio. We are really happy with our progress so far and have attached some recent media below for all to see!

ENID
Enid are currently working on the first 4 parts of the 2012 routine with lots of re runs of each move to ensure the core learning is working and muscle memory is been built.

SYNCHRO
Synchro are currently running full part 1 and part 2's of the display with colour! They are now in a position to integrate with ENID to complete our full compliment of 7 jets!

Outside of flying the team have came together out of hours for some team building activity. This weekend we all sat down to watch an old documentary on the red arrows called "A Quiver Of Silver" it was a nice time for everyone to let of some steam and really learn about the past history of the great team that is the RAFAT Red Arrows!

We would like to announce a new pilot to join our team for the 2025 season.

ZoreN! He has been working extremely hard during the application period with us and is now a fully fledged pilot of the team and is no stranger to formation aerobatics. He has been involved in the DCS community for years performing in many different airshows!

He will be a true asset to the team and we are so happy to be announcing his debut with the team as our RED 4 pilot. ZoreN is a lovable character and a perfect fit to our team; always happy to share his knowledge and experience with us while sharing a common sense of humour. As a natural left wing pilot, he is taking on a new challenge by flying an outer right position which he has taken in his stride!

We are in full swing with our training for this upcoming display season and want to keep showcasing the work that is going on each week in preparation for our first full show later this year! Please keep your eyes peeled on our social media platforms for more exciting content and a more in depth look into how we train.

We are wishing all of our friends and followers a Merry Christmas from everyone here at the FSRA.

We want to deeply thank everyone for the continued support during our highs and lows throughout 2024.

We have recently taken on two new recruits Chaser and Deon who have continued to show remarkable progress and dedication towards their learning within the team. We would like to congratulate both pilots on becoming our new Red 2 and 3 for the 2025 display season.

We cannot wait to introduce our 2012 Display to you throughout 2025.

RECRUITMENT OPEN

We here at the Flight Simulator Red Arrows (FSRA) and are currently looking for new and enthusiastic pilots to join the team!

We operate on DCS (Digital Combat Simulator), and have our own custom Hawk T1A, that enables us to perform the precise and dynamic routines that our real life counterparts preform every display season.

We are looking for a new RED 4 (Outer Right Wing Pilot) to make a total of seven jets!

If you are successful in your application, you will join a core team of people who have stuck together through some rather tough times and have no thoughts of going anywhere any time soon. We love doing this, and if you'd like to join a team of like-minded people who share the same love you do, then this is the place.

Basic Application Information:

RED 4 Right Wing Recruitment.
Training times are 7:30PM (GMT) every Tuesday and Thursday.
We will often have a session on a Sunday at 7:30PM though attendance is not mandatory.
No time zone limitations as long as you can attend sessions.
We would prefer applicants who own the Syria map, however, this is no barrier to entry.

Synchro have also been hard at work, continuing to perfect their second half of the display.

Dane (Flipper) is our new RED7, taking the position just over a month ago. Since then, he’s been building up the core Synchro skills.

The 2012 Synchro routine is an action packed, thrilling display which we cant wait to bring you next year.
