Speeders Car Wash opened a new location in Manchester, Connecticut, this week. This location represents another rebranding of a former Fred’s Carwash facility. Summit Wash Holdings, Speeders’ parent company, acquired several Fred’s locations earlier this year. The company converts these locations, including the Manchester site, to the Speeders brand.

Sonny’s Enterprises accelerates carwash industry growth through WashMetrix acquisition
Sonny’s Enterprises acquired WashMetrix in a strategic move that accelerates growth within the carwash industry. The acquisition boosts Sonny’s Quivio ecosystem and strengthens its leadership in complete business management. Sonny’s now offers WashMetrix as part of its Quivio integrated suite. The platform provides a true P&L view, benchmarks KPIs by location and integrates POS, HRIS and accounting systems.

The Wash Tub supports community recovery efforts
The Wash Tub donated $50,000 to the Kerr County Relief Fund. The donation responded to devastating floods that struck the Kerrville region in July. The Wash Tub team, loyal customers and the Kerrville community all contributed to the donation. The company presented the donation during a ceremony at its Kerrville location on Aug. 8.

Kleen-Rite Corp partners with Motor City Wash Works
Kleen-Rite Corp. has partnered with Motor City Wash Works to offer its OEM parts for their tunnel and conveyor systems. This partnership aligns with their overall goal of being the reliable supplier to the carwash industry. Kleen-Rite provides Motor City approved parts, so customers know the replacement parts they purchase will meet fit, performance and quality standards. These standards match the original parts that came with their system.

WOW Carwash supports Summerlin South Little League World Series team
WOW Carwash donated $1 of every retail wash purchased on Aug. 10th to the Summerlin South Little League baseball team. The fundraiser covered travel expenses and provided League World Series support. The offer applied at all 17 Las Vegas valley locations. WOW Carwash also pledged $5,000 to the team.

Club Car Wash grand opening in Round Rock, Texas
Club Car Wash had a grand opening for its newest location in Round Rock, Texas. To celebrate, Club Car Wash offers its premium $25 MVP Wash for just $1 for a limited time. The company will donate all proceeds from the $1 washes to the Round Rock Serving Center, a local nonprofit providing food, clothing, financial assistance and community programs to families in crisis.

Clean Express Auto Spa opens 11th location in Lincoln Park
The 11th Clean Express Auto Spa has opened in Lincoln Park, Michigan, as part of its carwash expansion developments. Part of Express Wash Concepts, this brings the parent company’s total to 123 express washes. The new Clean Express site celebrated the opening with free “Ceramic 4 Ultra” signature washes through Aug. 10.

Mattiacio Group becomes largest Ziebart franchisee
The Mattiacio Group has acquired 17 additional Ziebart stores from The Harris Group, making it the largest Ziebart franchisee in the U.S. The group now has 26 Ziebart locations across New York, Indiana, Ohio and Florida.

PC&D accepting 2025 Top 50 List Submissions
PC&D is now accepting submissions for the 2025 Top 50 list. This annual ranking identifies the largest conveyor carwash chains based on total location count. Last year, the minimum conveyor location count to make the Top 50 list was 23.

Speeders Car Wash, part of Summit Wash Holdings, opened a new express site in Middlebury, Connecticut. This is the first of five Fred’s Carwash locations rebranded as Speeders. The brand honors Fred O’Neil’s 44-year legacy in the industry while launching a new chapter of growth. Summit Wash Holdings recently acquired Fred’s Carwash and began the transition to the Speeders Car Wash brand.

Moo Moo Express grows in Columbus with free wash celebration
Express Wash Concepts opened its newest Moo Moo Express Car Wash in Columbus, Ohio. Guests can enjoy 10 days of free Crème de la Crème + Ceramic washes, valued at $22 each, through August 3.

LUV Car Wash brings Inglewood guests a True LUV experience
LUV Car Wash will host its Inglewood express carwash grand opening on August 2. The event will feature free washes, live music, refreshments and more than $10,000 in prizes. The first 20 vehicles will receive a full year of unlimited washes. All other guests will get a complimentary True LUV wash during the event. LUV aims to introduce Inglewood drivers to its fast, high-quality, eco-friendly wash experience. The brand now operates over 78 locations nationwide, with more under development.

El Car Wash hosts block party series in Central Florida
El Car Wash is kicking off four upcoming carwash grand openings with “block party” celebrations across Central Florida. The company is welcoming Orlando, Winter Park and Apopka communities with live music, local food, giveaways and free washes for Hometown Heroes. New customers received complimentary carwash offers and access to special membership deals. Three attendees at each location will win a year of unlimited washes.

Tommy’s Express Car Wash hosted a grand opening for its first World Model site in Holland, Michigan. The weekend-long event featured giveaways, family-friendly activities and support for the Outdoor Discovery Center nonprofit.

Splash Car Wash expands in New York
Splash Car Wash continues its Northeast expansion with a new express wash in Fayetteville, New York. This location features a 140-foot conveyor and 21 free self-service vacuums. The Fayetteville site marks Splash’s 68th overall and 42nd location in New York state.

AMP Debuts Data-Driven Industry Report
AMP launched the new “AMP Industry Insights Report,” a quarterly publication focused on carwash consumer trends and operator strategies. Collected data comes from over 7,000 carwash locations across its growing platform. NCS Washintel and Rubicon Analytics provided additional insights and analytical support for the report.

Club Car Wash supports Texas flood relief
Club Car Wash launched a donation campaign in response to major flooding in Texas. Through July 20, Club Car Wash will donate $1 from every booth-lane wash in Austin and San Antonio.

Autobell Car Wash team members completed the latest Autobell Creek Walk cleanup initiative in Charlotte, North Carolina, this week. 27 volunteers from the home office and 10 local wash locations cleaned Autobell’s adopted section of the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.

Giant Eagle exits fuel, carwash operations in Circle K parent company deal.
Giant Eagle has sold its GetGo gas stations and WetGo carwash locations to the parent company of Circle K, Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. The deal includes nearly 270 sites across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.
