Submitted: A Car exiting the Kitsap from the upper starboard side upper wing- came down the hill extremely fast and ran into the ferry bridge. There already is a 2 hour wait to get on the ferry from clinton and now this to slow it down even more.
Update: WSP administering field sobriety test. Suspect just cuffed and escorted away by WSP

⚠️Burlington: Brush Fire Response. I-5, milepost 232, area of Cook Rd. Report of possibly 2 fires in the median. Sounds like there's a crash in the area that WSP responded to. Fire unit on scene states a Whatcom County Sheriff extinguished the fires.

VEHICLE ONE LOST CONTROL, LEFT THE ROADWAY TO THE RIGHT, AND CAME TO REST IN THE DITCH.

Thank you to Big Lake Fire Dept, and ALL of the other Firefighters, Medics, LE, Dispatchers, and other persons who worked on the 4th to keep our community safe.!

First, we would love to thank everyone involved in making the 3rd such a success!

Second, we had a very busy night last night. We had 16 volunteers respond to a garage fire around 8:45pm, and a brush fire at 9:45pm. After returning to the station to clean-up and return the rigs to service, we had 11 volunteer’s respond to a vehicle fire at 1:30am.

All of these calls appeared to be caused by fireworks. Thankfully, these were not medical calls due to fireworks.

Please, be safe for yourselves and your neighbors! And thank you to our amazing volunteers!
