Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar , arrives in the UK for his official visit from 17-19 August 2025 to meet Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Pakistan, Hamish Falconer, Lord Wajid Khan, and Commonwealth Secretary-General, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.

Focus of the visit is on strengthening Pakistan-UK ties, boosting cooperation in digital technology, artificial intelligence & entrepreneurship, and enhanced cooperation with the Commonwealth.

British MPs, Kashmiri leaders, and representatives of Pakistani Diaspora would also call on the DPM/FM.

At the Pakistan High Commission in London, the DPM/FM would inaugurate pilot project by Punjab Land Record Authority and One Window Operation by IMPASS.

‎*Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Visits Family of Shaheed Captain Muhammad Asif in Uch Sharif, Pays Tribute to His Bravery*

‎Islamabad: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the residence of Shaheed Captain Muhammad Asif in Uch Sharif, near Bahawalpur. He met with the martyr’s parents, brothers, and other family members, expressed his condolences, and offered fateha. Mohsin Naqvi prayed for patience and strength for the family of Shaheed Captain Muhammad Asif. He appreciated the courage and resilience of the martyr’s father, mother, and brothers. Mohsin Naqvi consoled the mother of Captain Asif and paid tribute to her strength.

‎The Interior Minister also expressed affection to Captain Asif’s 10-month-old son, Muhammad Arsalan, by holding him in his lap and playing with him. He also viewed the medals and awards received by Captain Asif at such a young age.

Interior Minister said that the courage of such brave families is the true strength of the nation. He remarked that Shaheed Captain Muhammad Asif is an eternal example of bravery and saluted the parents of the martyr. He said that Captain Muhammad Asif embraced martyrdom while courageously fighting against the Indian-sponsored terrorists. Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that even after being injured, the young son of the soil fought valiantly and sent the terrorists to hell.

‎The Interior Minister emphasized that it is our firm belief that martyrs never die, and Captain Muhammad Asif will always remain alive in our hearts. He added that the entire nation salutes the families of martyrs. He further said that the Government stands with the family of Shaheed Captain Muhammad Asif and will always continue to support them. He added that taking care of the families of martyrs is our national responsibility, as their eternal sacrifices are unforgettable.

‎It may be recalled that Captain Muhammad Asif embraced martyrdom on 12th August in Basima, Balochistan while bravely fighting against Indian-sponsored terrorists.

*Message of H.E. Reza Amiri Moghadam, Honorable Ambassador of Iran on the Auspicious Occasion of the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan:*

On August 14th, as the Great Nation of Pakistan celebrates 78th Auspicious Occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, on behalf of myself, the Government and the Nation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I extend my Warmest and Sincere Congratulations to the Esteemed Government and the Honourable Nation of the Friendly, Neighbourly and Brotherly County of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
On this day, I warmly pay tribute to the Values of this Great Nation as it marks a moment of pride to celebrate the indefatigable and extraordinary Resilience, Unity, and remarkable Achievements of the Great Nation of Pakistan.
We deeply value the bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation that exist between our countries. Through the firm determination of the high-ranking leadership of both countries, and also the immense endeavours made by all sectors on both sides, a new era of hope and optimism has dawned in Iran-Pakistan relations with the inception of a historic turning point in the all-round ties, guided by our shared pursuit of peace and prosperity.
We wholeheartedly wish and pray for the continued Prosperity, Well-being, Peace, Progress and Stability of Pakistan, and for the enduring friendship between our two Great Nations to grow ever stronger.

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar , chaired a meeting to review MoFA initiatives introduced in 2024 under his guidance to reform visa processes at Pakistan Missions abroad.

The DPM/FM reviewed progress and directed further measures to streamline procedures, enhance transparency, improve efficiency, and ensure fast-track visa issuance, particularly for the Pakistani diaspora, including investors and the business community.
