Beethoven Club Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids Beethoven Club, founded in 1921, annually offers one $1,000 Kay Gustafson Piano Award. This award is for a promising, committed piano student who has studied piano for at least one year and has a financial need.

Please nominate one student entering 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade in the 2025-2026 school year who would like to improve via private lessons. Ask the student and parent to fill out their application (link below) to submit with your recommendation.

The Beethoven Club Scholarship Committee will gather recommendations and choose a single recipient from all applicants. DUE SAT. AUG. 9th!

The award will be sent to the teacher for lesson fees, and the student will be asked to play briefly for representatives of Beethoven Club after the year of lessons are completed.

A 5-time GRAMMY nominee and multi-style cello superhero, Dave will return to the Bristol Rhythm stage with his powerful blend of bluegrass, classical, jazz, rock, and storytelling for a special artist in residence. In addition to his usual set filled with special guests and excitement at every turn, expect a weekend full of pop up collaborations from one of Bristol Rhythm’s favorite artists—sure to have us all playing a game of “Where’s Dave?” 🔎

Special guests for his full performance include 2025 GRAMMY winner Pascal Le Boeuf and GRAMMY nominees Phil Faconti and Chuck Palmer.

Eggar has collaborated and shared stages with some of the biggest stars in the music industry including Evanescence, Foreigner, Frank Ocean, Lewis Capaldi, Benson Boone, Dr. Ralph Stanley and Roseanne Cash.
