Smooth Beats

Hello you lovely listeners! It is with some sadness that I have to announce that SMOOTH BEATS will no longer be produced from 30th September. We have agreed that repeats will be aired on Radio Winchcombe but there are several changes to the timetable from 1 October, and I'm not sure yet when the repeats will air. As some of you know, I will be moving to somewhere near Cardiff at some point in the next few months or so, and we are currently trying to declutter our house to sell it, and unfortunately that means we need to dismantle our home recording studio. I do hope that at some stage in the future I may be able to bring the show back - but I'll have to let you know if and when that happens. I'd like to thank you all for tuning in to my shows for the past 6 years (yes, it really has been that long!!), and let you all know you're very much appreciated. Simon Blake

Well, we started today's Smooth Beats at midnight - musically, that is - with In The Midnight Hour. I wasn't too sure how far through the day we'd get, but by the end of the show we'd only made it to 6am thanks to the Bangles' Manic Monday. So, maybe we'll have to continue this on a later show ...
