Reasi Police Destroys Illegally Cultivated O***m Poppy Crop at Mahore Under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan
Reasi, April 25: Continuing its strong crackdown against the drug menace under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Reasi Police carried out a successful anti-narcotics operation in the Mahore area and destroyed illegally cultivated o***m poppy crops.
Acting on specific inputs, a police team from Police Post Shajroo, along with officials from the Revenue Department and local residents, conducted a joint operation in Village Mullas, Tehsil Mahore. During the operation, illegally cultivated o***m poppy crops were identified and destroyed on the spot as per legal procedures.
The entire operation was led by the In-charge of Police Post Shajroo Akhil , under the close supervision of SDPO Mahore Sh. Parul Bhardwaj (JKPS).
Reasi Police remains committed to eradicating the drug menace from society and has intensified its efforts against the cultivation, trafficking, and abuse of narcotic substances across the district. The public has been urged to cooperate and share any information related to drug activities with the nearest police unit.
Reasi Police reiterated its commitment towards building a drug-free society and appealed to all sections of the community to join hands in making Jammu & Kashmir free from the menace of narcotics.
