Dear Mr. Vera, this post is for you sir.
The 1st photo is your why. The kids, but more importantly the kids from the RGV that are forgotten even to this day. Fighting for them…not waiting for someone from out of the market to bring something here, but creating something beautiful for us by us. That is the Joe Vera way. Sharing our genuine story and finding good people and true partners that say here is thousands of dollars for our kids because they matter. And you did it sir - 3x IFEA world festival and event city, best parade in the world, and no one can ever take that away. When I took this photo two years ago, I took it for you sir because I wanted you to see what you had done. Thank you
The 2nd photo is the how.
This is a photo of you and your team vs a solo pic. I picked this one because I’ve never seen you as happy as when you would make these after event walks with your team after endless nights and hardwork. It was the same look you had when your team would win literally hundreds of awards or when a sponsor would commit to making another dream possible. A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves. You succeeded sir, you have left a legacy of leaders that will do it the Joe Vera Way and that means going bigger, brighter and bolder every year.
In closing Mr Vera, I may have met you later in your life, but they were truly something special weren’t they sir. Thank you for believing in our team, Lynda and myself, and we’ll be seeing you in every smile along that 1.5 mile parade for years to come. ✨♾️🤝
